The game device 10 generates a passcode and displays information associated with the passcode on a display. The terminal device 6 acquires the passcode from an image having been displayed on the display. The terminal device 6 makes a wireless connection to the game device 10 by using the acquired SSID and passcode and transmits, to the terminal device 6, setting information for a wireless connection to an access point. The terminal device 6 registers the setting information for the wireless connection to the access point.
