An authentication method determiner analyzes the response packet to search for at least one wireless network and determines an authentication method supported by each of the searched wireless networks. A storage unit stores the determined authentication method of each of the searched wireless networks. Thus, necessary information corresponding to security during a connection to a wireless network can be searched in advance and provided to a user.
