A method and apparatus for pre-loading a translated cloud based application is described in the present disclosure. An application may be chosen for pre-loading by an emulator before a client device platform has requested the application. Once the application is selected, the emulator may begin to translate the application data into a format that is compatible with the client device platform. After translation, the data is stored in a memory so that it may be accessed upon the request of the client device platform.
