    Abstract: The invention concerns a method of casting on liquid casts, in particular steel casts, through a spout (3) of a smelting vessel, the spout (3), before casting on, being closed by the solidified cast (S) at least in the region of its inlet (4).     Abstract: The invention seeks to improve a method for the injection and/or casting of liquid metals, steel in particular, using a nozzle (3,9) located in the wall or at the bottom of a metallurgical container. The nozzle couples with the electro-magnetic field of at least one fluid-cooled or more particularly air-cooled inductor (4). The inductor and the nozzle are at least partially assigned to the wall or the bottom of the metallurgical container(1). In casting operations the nozzle and the liquid metal become directly coupled with the electromagnetic field of the inductor or inductors. To this effect the frequency of the electromagnetic field(s) can be adjusted accordingly, if necessary(5).
