    Abstract: Disclosed is a system for removing nitrogen in wastewater comprising: a reaction tank including a catalyst layer, an upper tank placed above the catalyst layer, a lower tank placed below the catalyst layer, a first porous plate installed between the catalyst layer and the lower tank, and a second porous plate installed between the catalyst layer and the upper tank; a wastewater circulation pipe including an inlet placed inside the upper tank and an outlet placed in the lower tank and having a nozzle for generating microbubbles; a pump for circulating wastewater stored in the upper tank through the wastewater circulation pipe to the lower tank; and an oxidant injection device connected to the wastewater circulation pipe to inject an oxidant into the circulation pipe at a predetermined speed. The system for removing nitrogen in wastewater improves nitrogen removal capacity and reduces removal time compared with a traditional system for removing nitrogen by passing wastewater in the shape of microbubbles through the catalyst layer using the microbubble nozzle, thus increasing effective reaction area with a catalyst and reaction time.
