Abstract: PURPOSE: A TFT substrate and a flat panel display device comprising the same are provided to effectively embody a transparent display device by conspicuously reducing the width of a part which incident light is blocked. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor layer(125) of TFT(120) is close to a source electrode(121) and a drain electrode(123). A gate insulating layer(114) which is formed with insulating material is interposed between the semiconductor layer and the gate electrode to insulate the semiconductor layer from gate electrode(127).
