Abstract: PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to improve an edge smudge which occurs by a ionic impurity reaction of a sealant and an alignment layer. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes as follows. A common voltage line(140) sanctions a common voltage and is formed on outer area of a first substrate. A common electrode(155) is formed on a second substrate. A conduction ball(185) receives a common voltage which is sanctioned to a common voltage line and attaches the fist substrate and the second substrate by being formed to cover the common voltage line. A seal line(180) absorbs an ionic foreign material of a liquid crystal layer on a surface by electric system which is formed when sanctions the common voltage. The common voltage is a polarity voltage.
