Abstract:
PURPOSE: A device and a method for assigning an id cell to avoid duplication of preamble pseudo noise code in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to minimize a duplication of ID cell between neighbor sectors, thereby fulfilling an initial cell search and cell acquisition when the preamble PN(Pseudo Noise) code is repeatedly used to the neighboring sectors. CONSTITUTION: If a PN(Pseudo Noise) code of sectors in a neighbor list of random sector i and calculated temporarary PN codes is not duplicated, the neighboring list of the relevant sector is included in sector i corresponding to the sectors. If the PN code of other sector in the neighboring list and a temporary PN code is not duplicated, the ID cell assigning device assigns the temporally selected ID cell s the ID cell of sector i(621,623,625).
Abstract:
A device and a method for designing a wireless network are provided to predict an optimal MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) level to be allocated to a prediction point set in the wireless network. A parameter input unit(202) receives and outputs information related to at least one parameter. An RoT(Rise over Thermal) calculator(204) calculates and outputs RoT by using the parameter information received from the parameter input unit. A first uplink performance prediction index determiner(206) determines an MCS level by receiving an RoT calculation result. The first uplink performance prediction index determiner outputs determined MCS level information. A maximum attainable CINR(Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratio) calculator(208) calculates a maximum attainable CINR in the MSC level by receiving the MCS level information.
