    Abstract: PURPOSE: An enzyme bag containing silica-immobilized enzyme for inhibiting biofilm formation and a membrane bioreactor system for water treatment using the bag are provided to stably implement filtering operations for a long period of time by improving the performance of operational processes. CONSTITUTION: An enzyme bag containing enzyme for inhibiting biofilm formation includes a porous bag and a silica-based carrier. The silica-based carrier is positioned in the porous bag. The enzyme for inhibiting biofilm formation is chemically immobilized on the silica-based carrier. The silica-based carrier includes mesoporous silica.
