Abstract: 본 발명은 원격 포인팅 장치를 이용한 제어 시스템에 관한 것으로 더욱 상세 하게는 디스플레이 장치상에 레이저 포인터가 가리키는 포인트에 제어신호를 부여하여 상기 레이저 포인터를 마우스나 키보드와 같이 컴퓨터 입력수단으로 활용할 수 있는 원격 포인팅 장치를 이용한 제어 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 원격 포인팅 장치를 이용한 제어 시스템은 입력된 배경 영상 정보를 디스플레이하는 디스플레이 장치, 상기 디스플레이 장치상에 광 포인트를 발생시키고, 상기 배경 영상 및 상기 광 포인트를 촬영하여 영상 정보를 전송하는 카메라를 포함하는 레이저 포인터 및 상기 카메라로부터 전송된 영상 정보를 인식하고, 상기 인식된 영상 정보를 처리하여 상기 디스플레이 장치로 출력하는 컴퓨터를 포함하며, 상기 컴퓨터는 상기 전송된 영상 정보를 인식하여 상기 배경 영상과 상기 광 포인트를 분리하고, 상기 광 포인트의 위치에 따라 제어 신호를 발생하는 영상 인식 수단 및 상기 영상 인식 수단으로부터 전송된 제어 신호에 따라 상기 디스플레이 장치를 제어하는 디스플레이 제어 수단을 포함한다.

Abstract: A control system using a remote pointing device is provided to enable a user to operate a display device by using the remote pointing device, and therefore to progress a presentation without help of an assistant. A control system includes a display unit(100), a laser pointer, a camera(200b), and a computer. The display unit displays information on an inputted background image. The laser pointer generates an optical point on the display unit. The camera captures the background image and the optical point and transmits the captured image to the computer. The computer processes the transmitted image, and outputs the processed image to the display unit. The computer includes an image recognition unit(420) and a display controller(430). The image recognition unit recognizes the transmitted image, separates the transmitted image into the background image and the optical point, and generates a control signal according to position of the optical point. The display controller controls the display unit according to the control signal transmitted from the image recognition unit.
