Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for digitally embodying a bus arbitration in an IEEE 1394 transceiver is provided to maintain compatibility with a conventional reference through a decoding algorithm using only "0" and "1" when performing a bus automatic configuration and the bus arbitration, reduce a size of a logic circuit, and prevent an operation error. CONSTITUTION: When reconfiguring a system, an automatic configuration process of the system is started through a bus reset process. Each of nodes is configured as a topology with a tree structure, and a root is determined. A physical ID is added for identifying configurations using the tree topology. A node which transmits data through a bus obtains a use right of the bus.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A home gateway system for automatically sensing dismounting/mounting of a home network module and its operation control method are provided to form various home networks by using a home bay module and freely insert or separate the home bay module without a necessity of cutting off power. CONSTITUTION: A home gateway system includes access network connectors(30a,30b,30c), a processor(10) for processing home gateway data. The home gateway system also includes a first bay connector(12) for recognizing insertion of a home bay module(20) and the home bay module(20) for controlling a home network. The home bay module(20) includes a second bay connector(12) to be connected to the first bay connector(12). When the home bay module(20) is inserted, the first home bay connector(12) senses connection of the bay connector(14) thereto, and the processor(10) senses insertion and a type of the home bay module(20) through the first bay connector(12). When the processor(10) senses insertion of the home bay module(20), a home network environment is set for the inserted home bay module. In order to facilitate interfacing between the home bay module(20) and the processor(10), the first and the second connector(12,14) are implemented in an MII(Media Independence Interface) and a UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) form.

PURPOSE: A frequency domain channel compensation circuit without division is provided to estimate and compensate a channel by using a pilot signal of a received signal and remove ISI(Inter Symbol Interference) and ICI(Inter Chip Interference) by using a single tap equalizer. CONSTITUTION: A frequency domain channel compensation circuit without division includes a pilot channel compensation circuit and a single tap equalizer. The pilot channel compensation circuit is used for estimating an error after a pilot signal passes a channel. In addition, the pilot channel compensation circuit is used for obtaining an approximate value of a pilot channel compensation coefficient by estimating the error. The single tap equalizer is used for improving an initial symbol coefficient by using an output of the pilot channel compensation circuit.

본 발명은 댁내 전화망 스위칭 기능을 갖는 홈 게이트웨이 장치 및 그 구현 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 홈 게이트웨이 장치는, xDSL(x Digital Subscriber Line) 신호와 PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) 신호가 공존하는 액세스 망과 댁내망을 연결한 통합 망에서 다양한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 댁내 망 환경의 변화에 따라 매개체를 이용하여 xDSL 신호와 홈 피엔에이 신호를 분리시키고 PSTN 신호를 홈 피엔에이 신호 또는 VoIP 신호와 연결되도록 스위칭 기능을 제공한다. 이를 통하여, 단일의 홈 게이트웨이를 통해 기존의 2선식 또는 4선식 댁내 전화선로에 구애받지 않고 쉽게 댁내 VoIP/POTS 망 및 고속 HomePNA 망을 구축할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A home gateway device having xDSL and VoIP interface is provided to enable a high speed broadband service between an access network using an ADSL, VDSL or a fast Ethernet and a premises network using a VoIP function and various protocols by furnishing them with a high speed access function. CONSTITUTION: A system controller(501) controls data processing and flow between a premises network and an access network. An access network signal processor(500) has one or more ports, provides an access function with respect to the access network through a first connector, and processes transmission/reception signal with respect to the access network. An access network connector(502) provides interfacing with respect to the system controller(501) according to signal processing of the access network signal processor(500). A HomePNA processor(507) provides a HomePNA access with respect to the premises network through a second connector and processes a HomePNA signal with respect to the premises network. A VoIP processor(505) provides a POTS/VoIP with respect to the premises network through the second connector and processes a POTS/VoIP signal with respect to the premises network.

PURPOSE: A home gateway device connecting home network having various home networking interfaces and access network is provided to enable a high speed broadband service between a home network and an access network and control various information terminals connected to the home network by making the home network and the access network interwork. CONSTITUTION: A system controller(401) controls data processing and flow between a home network and an access network. An access network signal processor(200) having one or more ports provides a connection function to the access network and processes signal transmitted to and received from the access network. An access network connecting unit(402) provides an interfacing between the access network signal processor(200) and the system controller(401) under the control of the system controller(401). A high speed Ethernet switching processor(406) provides a function of a fast Ethernet connection to the home network. A HomePNA(Home Phoneline Networking Alliance) processor(407) provides a function of a HomePNA connection to the home network. A fast Ethernet processor(405) provides a function of a fast Ethernet connection to the access network. An ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)/VDSL(Very high-data rate Digital Subscriber Line) processor(404) provides a function of an ADSL/VDSL connection to the access network. A home network connecting unit(403) provides an interfacing between at least one home network and the system controller(401) through a PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) and a general input/output.

본 발명은 나눗셈이 없어 고속처리가 가능한 주파수 영역 채널 보상 회로에 관한 것으로, 상기 주파수 영역 채널 보상회로는, 파일럿 신호의 채널 통과 후 에러를 추정함으로써 파일럿 채널 보상 계수를 근사화 하는 파일럿 채널 보상회로; 및 초기 심벌 계수를 상기 파일럿 채널 보상회로의 출력에 의존하여 필터계수를 개선하는 단일 탭 등화기를 포함한다. 이는, 기존의 구조와는 달리 파일럿 신호를 이용해서 빠른(fast) 페이딩에서 생긴 왜곡을 먼저 보상하고 채널과 심벌의 간섭을 단일 탭 등화기로 제거하는 회로로서, 채널 보상 계수의 근사화시 나눗셈 연산이 일어나지 않기 때문에, 회로의 동작속도와 크기에서 이점을 가진다.

PURPOSE: A home gateway system having a premises telephone network switching function and a method for implementing the same are provided to construct a home VoIP/POTS(Plain Old Telephone Service) network and a high-speed HomePNA(Home Phoneline Networking Alliance) network, regardless of telephone lines, by modifying the internal connection structure of a home gateway through a premises telephone network switching function according to the configuration of a home network. CONSTITUTION: A home gateway system(300) having a premises telephone network switching function comprises an xDSL central processing part(302), a VoIP processing part(304), a HomePNA processing part(306), and a phoneline switching part(303). The xDSL central processing part(302) provides a connection with an access network through the first connector(301) and processes the signals transmitted and received with the connected access network. The VoIP processing part(304) provides a POTS/VoIP connection with a home network through the first connector(301) or the third connector(307) and processes the POTS/VoIP signals with the connected home network. The HomePNA processing part(306) provides a HomePNA connection with a home network through the first connector(301) or the second connector(305) and processes the HomePNA signals transmitted and received with the connected home network. The phoneline switching part(303) connects the VoIP processing part(304) and the HomePNA processing part(306) properly to various PSTN lines received from the xDSL central processing part(302).
