Abstract: PURPOSE: A traffic control device and a method thereof are provided to distinguish and classify the application service traffic for the various application service traffics without the loss on a real time basis. CONSTITUTION: An interface connect part(101) transmits and receives an outer line and an internetwork protocol packet. A frame generating unit(102) receives the internetwork protocol packet through the interface connect part. The frame generating unit creates the MAC(Media Access Control) frame. A network processor(103) transmits and receives the internetwork protocol packet from the frame maker. A network processor processes one or more programmable applications. The network processor distinguishes the programmable applications by the classifying process.

Abstract: A method for supporting the transport network independent IP mobility and a system therefor are provided to support the mobility by upgrading the software of a mobile terminal or introducing a mobility control device without adding the function of existing transport network equipment. Two control tunnels are established between the first mobile terminal(110) and a mobility control device(130). The mobility control device is connected with a service portal(120) or an AAA server(140) so as to be communicated with them, and manages the mapping relation between the home address and care-of address of a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal including the first mobile terminal receives one intrinsic address which is continuously maintained. The care-of address is assigned according to the current position for each interface of the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A method and system for supporting Internet protocol (IP) mobility independently of the IP version of a transport network are provided. The method includes providing a mobility control apparatus, which maps the home addresses of a plurality of mobile terminals, including first and second mobile terminals, and the Care-of-Addresses (CoAs) of the mobile terminals, and setting a first control tunnel between the mobility control apparatus and the first mobile terminal, the care-of-addresses varying from one transport network to another transport network; setting a second control tunnel between the mobility control apparatus and the second mobile terminal; and enabling the first and second mobile terminals to exchange a data packet with each other through the first and second control tunnels.
