    Abstract: A switching apparatus for medium voltage electric systems, said switching apparatus comprising one or more electric poles, wherein, for each electric pole, said switching apparatus comprises:

    - a second contact arrangement including a second fixed contact member and a second movable contact member, said second fixed contact member being electrically connected to said ground terminal and including a second fixed contact, said second movable contact member being electrically connected to said second pole terminal and including a second movable contact, said second movable contact member being reversibly movable about a corresponding rotation axis, so that said second movable contact can be coupled to or decoupled from said second fixed contact;
    - an actuation assembly for actuating the first and second movable contact members of each electric pole during a switching manoeuvre of said switching apparatus, said actuation assembly including an actuation shaft reversibly movable about a corresponding rotation axis;
    - a motion transmission assembly for transmitting mechanical forces provided by said actuation shaft to the first and second movable contact members of each electric pole.

    Abstract: Method for manufacturing a switching apparatus for electric systems, comprising the following steps:
    - providing a first housing shell (3) of said switching apparatus, said first housing shell being of thermoplastic material and including a first coupling edge (4) for coupling with another housing shell, said first coupling edge having a first coupling surface and first ribs protruding from said first coupling surface and extending along said first coupling edge;
    - providing a second housing shell (5) of said switching apparatus, said second housing shell being of thermoplastic material and including a second coupling edge (6) for coupling with said first housing shell, said second coupling edge having a second coupling surface and second ribs protruding from said second coupling surface and extending along said second coupling edge;
    - assembling said first and second housing shells and a number of operating components of said switching apparatus, thereby obtaining a preliminary assembly (99) of said switching apparatus;
    - joining the first and second coupling edges of said first and second housing shells through a vibration welding process, thereby forming a junction between said first and second housing shells and obtaining a sealed outer casing for said switching apparatus.

    Abstract: A Medium Voltage switching pole (1) comprises a vacuum interruption chamber (10) housing a fixed contact (2) and a movable contact (3) moving between an open position in which it is separated from the fixed contact (2) and a closed position in which it is electrically coupled to the fixed contact (2). In the closed position said movable contact (3) has a closed condition in which it is electrically coupled to the fixed contact (2) and a closed and pressed condition in which it is electrically coupled to the fixed contact (2) under a mechanical load forcing it against said fixed contact (2). The Medium Voltage switching pole (1) comprises a movable contact assembly (4) which is placed outside said vacuum interruption chamber (10) and which comprises:

    - a load counterbalancing assembly (6) comprising a supporting and guiding element (61) positioned fixed with respect to said vacuum interruption chamber (10) and an elastic load counterbalancing element (62) which is interposed between said supporting and guiding element (61) and a first coupling surface (31) on said movable contact (3);
    - a pressing assembly (7) positioned at said second end (52) of said pushrod (5) and comprising an elastic pressing element (71) which is interposed between said pushrod (5) and a second coupling surface (32) on said movable contact (3).
