PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compact design improved for a grounding switch of a gas-insulated switch gear arrangement. SOLUTION: A mounting cover (10) of the gas-insulated switch gear arrangement (15) has a physical space (100) formed in a hollow shape expanding a gas chamber (9). A grounding switch fixed contact (12) is mounted at the inner side (10e) of the mounting cover (10) to be at least partially received to the physical space (100) of the mounting cover (10). The device has an earthing drive (11), a movable earth contact (110c) and a fixed earth contact (12). The fixed and movable earth contacts are arranged in a gas chamber (9) of the gas-isolated switching system (15) and the earthing switching device (1') is mechanically connected to the housing (2) of the system near the fixed contact. A mounting cover (10) has a concave structural volume (100) expanding the gas chamber and the fixed earth contact is mounted on the inside of the cover and at least partly arranged in the structural volume of the cover. An independent claim is also included for an electronic switching system, especially a high or medium voltage switching system.
