Abstract:
An ultrasonic flow meter with transducers switchable between transmitting and receiving modes is disclosed. The receiving transducer is coupled more directly to the output of an operational amplifier of the receiver circuit than to the inputs thereof. A receiver circuit and a combined signal generator and receiver circuit are also disclosed, as well as a flow meter with an ultrasound measurement means based on measuring a power supply current to a receiving amplifier.
Abstract:
A wireless consumption meter, such as an ultrasonic flow meter, and a test and calibration system therefore are disclosed;the wireless consumption meters comprising a test mode which changes the wireless communication parameters to transmit less data, with less power, faster and more often, than in a normal operating mode; the test and calibration system comprises test boxes arranged to receive measurement data from the consumption meters under the test mode circumstances and a common control unit arranged to control the start and stop of the testing and to establish a test or calibration result based on the received measurements from the consumption meters and by comparing with a reference value from a reference device. Further, methods performed by the consumption meter and the test an calibration system are disclosed.
Abstract:
Transit-time based ultrasonic flow meter with analog-to-digital conversion for measuring ultrasonic signals, wherein accuracy of measurements is improved by making several measurements with different input offset, reference voltage, frame offset or sample rate in an analog-to-digital conversion stage.
Abstract:
A battery-powered consumption meter is provided, which comprises a measurement means for measuring a value relating to an accumulated volume of a fluid flowing in a connected fluid pipe system to make up a consumption meter representation of the accumulated volume. The consumption meter further comprises a first communication means, which is a wireless two-way communication means arranged for transmitting the consumption meter representation from the consumption meter to an external device external to the consumption meter, and for receiving a communication therefrom. The consumption meter is arranged to transmit the consumption meter representation to the external device in response to a request therefor from the external device. The consumption meter comprises an internal clock, and registration means for registration, at the time of the communication from the external device, of the communication from the external device and the time of the consumption meter. The consumption meter comprises interpolation means for making up a consumption meter representation corresponding to the time of the communication from the external device from a set of values of the accumulated volume measured previously and subsequently, respectively, to the communication from the external device.

Abstract:
A receiver circuit for an ultrasonic flow meter comprising means for measuring a power supply current to a receiving amplifier of the receiver circuit. An ultrasonic flow meter having first and second ultrasonic transducers, a signal generator for generating an electrical transmission signal to the first transducer, and a receiver circuit as described above for receiving electrical reception signals from the second transducer. The receiving amplifier, of which the power supply current is measured, may be an operational amplifier, possibly shared with the signal generator. The means for measuring the power supply current may comprise an additional operational amplifier.
