Abstract: An exhaust gas carbon dioxide capture and recovery system that may be mounted on a mobile vehicle or vessel. The system may include an exhaust absorber system, a solvent regenerator, a solvent loop, a carbon dioxide compressor, and a carbon dioxide storage tank, among other components. The system may be configured and integrated such that energy in the exhaust may be used to power and drive the carbon dioxide capture while having minimal parasitic effect on the engine.

Abstract: A system includes an engine having a main combustion chamber and a prechamber containing a spark plug. The prechamber is in fluid communication with the main combustion chamber through at least one orifice. An engine intake line provides intake air to the engine. An engine exhaust line receives exhaust gases from the engine. An exhaust gas recirculation line transports a portion of the exhaust gases from the engine exhaust line to the engine intake line, forming an exhaust gas recirculation loop through the engine. The system includes a reformer having a reactor containing a catalyst-coated substrate. The reformer generates a gaseous reformate from a fuel. The system includes a prechamber feed line to transport a stream of the gaseous reformate from the reformer to the prechamber.

Abstract: A device for reducing emissions from an internal combustion engine having a close-coupled catalyst including an electrically-heated catalyst and a hydrocarbon trap disposed downstream of the close-coupled catalyst. The device includes a heat exchanger and a liquid water knockout disposed downstream of the close-coupled catalyst. The device includes a valve-less system configured to dynamically adjust a flow path of exhaust from the internal combustion engine through the electrically-heated catalyst and the hydrocarbon trap to reduce emissions. A method for reducing emissions including feeding an exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine to the close-coupled catalyst, producing a catalyzed exhaust gas. The method includes flowing the catalyzed exhaust gas from the close-coupled catalyst to the valve-less system.
