    Abstract: A method for esterifying (meth)acrylic acid with an alkanol in the presence of an esterification catalyst, whereby non-reacted starting compounds and the (meth)acrylic acid ester that is to be formed are separated by means of distillation and a bottom product containing an oxyester is created. The bottom product is separated and then the oxyesters contained therein are re-separated in the presence of a longer chained alkylbenzene sulfonic acid at a high temperature.

    Abstract: Methine and azamethine dyes based on trifluoromethyl-substituted 5-membered heterocycles are new.     Abstract: A process for the production of (meth)acrylic acid comprises use of 15-20 kg of absorption agent per m3 of reaction gas mixture; an inlet temperature of the desorption apparatus of 120-140 degrees C; and a quantity of stripping gas greater than 4 m3 per m3 of reaction gas mixture. A process for the production of (meth)acrylic acid comprises: (a) preparation of a reaction gas mixture by catalytic gas phase partial oxidation of suitable 3-4C precursors; (b) absorption of the reaction mixture from (A) in at least one absorption apparatus with an absorption agent, desorption of the absorption agent in at least one desorption apparatus by treatment with a stripping gas and; (c) subsequent distillation of the absorption agent to yield crude (meth)acrylic acid whereby the absorption apparatus comprises 15-20 kg of absorption agent per m3 of reaction gas mixture; the inlet temperature of the desorption apparatus is 120-140 degrees C; and the quantity of stripping gas is greater than 4 m3 per m3 of reaction gas mixture.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing 4,4'-dihalogendiphenylsulfone by reacting halogenated benzene with 4-halogenphenylsulfonyl chloride in a liquid phase at high temperature, in the presence of a solid catalyst having acid centers. The method is characterized in that the reaction of 4-halogenphenylsulfonyl chloride with formula (I), in which X is chlorine, bromine or fluorine, with chlorobenzene, bromobenzene, or fluorobenzene, is carried out in the presence of a catalyst which is selected from one of the following groups: K1) catalysts consisting of essentially stratified silicates not having Lewis acids and having proton-saturated negative layer loads, or containing these as a basic component; K2) catalysts consisting of zeolites in the acid H form, or containing these as a basic component; and K3) catalysts consisting of mixed oxides having acidic centres, or containing these as basic components. The mixed oxides consist of a combination of (a) titanium, circonium, hafnium, tin, iron or Cr(III) oxides on the one hand, and (b) vanadium, chromium(VI), molybdenum, wolfram or scandium oxides on the other hand; or the mixed oxides are sulfatized or phosphatized oxides of the group (a), and said mixed oxides are calcined after combination, at temperatures of 450 to 800 DEG C.

Preparation of (meth)acrylic acid ester (I) comprises: preparing a reaction mixture (II) by catalytic gas phase partial oxidation of C3- or C4- precursors, absorbing (II) in an absorption apparatus with an absorbent, desorbing the loaded absorbent in a desorption apparatus by treating with a stripping gas, subsequent rectificative purifying of the absorbent to obtain raw (meth)acrylic acid (III) (where at least one absorption apparatus is operated with an absorbent quantity of 15-20 kg/m3> of (II); the temperature of the inlet to the desorption apparatus amounts to 120-140[deg]C and the amount of stripping gas in the desorption apparatus is more than 4 m3>/m3> of (II)) and esterifying (III) with an alcohol, where in the esterification step, water is not reversed into the rectification unit III.
