Abstract: The invention relates to a solution essentially containing 78.0-93.0 wt.% propionic acid, 0.5-5.0 wt.% ammonia, 1.0-6.0 wt.% propanediol, 0.1-10 wt.% water, with the proviso that the individual constituents, when added together, amount to 100 wt.%. The invention also relates to the use of said solutions as animal feed.
