    Abstract: Procedimiento para la obtención de copolímeros, caracterizado porque se copolimerizan (A) al menos un anhídrido de ácido dicarboxílico, etilénicamente insaturado (A), derivado de al menos un ácido dicarboxílico con 4 hasta 8 átomos de carbono, (B) al menos un compuesto vinilaromático y (C) opcionalmente, al menos, un comonómero etilénicamente insaturado, diferente de (A) con, al menos, un heteroátomo, se hace reaccionar con (D) al menos un compuesto de la fórmula Ia o Ib se hidroliza con agua o con solución alcalina acuosa, y se añade de nuevo iniciador después de la hidrólisis, definiéndose las variables en la fórmula Ia y Ib de la manera siguiente: A1 significa alquileno con 2 hasta 20 átomos de carbono, siendo iguales o diferentes, R1 significa alquilo con 1 hasta 30 átomos de carbono, lineal o ramificado, n significa un número entero desde 1 hasta 200.
