Abstract:
There is provided a hair setting assembly (1) having a housing (5) with one or more heating elements (60). The elements (60) cooperate with one or more heatable hair rollers (65). The hair setting assembly (1) also has one or more ion and/or ozone emitters (40) for emitting ions and/or ozone. Further, the hair setting assembly (1) has a housing (5) with a lid portion (20), and a base portion (10) for selectively covering the heatable hair rollers (65) and the one or more ion and/or ozone emitters (40), and a support (60) connectable to the housing (5) so that the housing (5) can be tilted about an axis in at least one direction through a specified angle while sitting on a surface.
Abstract:
An attachment (10) for a hair dryer includes an upper body (12) for supporting a heat transmissive plate (16) with a comb (18) extending from one side of the heat transmissive plate and a lower body (14) for attachment to an outlet of the hair dryer. The heat transmissive plate is heated by the hot air exiting the hair dryer's outlet. The upper body of the attachment includes vents positioned about the heat transmissive plate for directing heated air generally in front of and behind the heat transmissive plate, and a pair of side vents for directing heated air to the sides of the heat transmissive plate. The lower body of the attachment may include a plurality of inner ribs positioned at its internal surface or a plurality of flexible inner segments situated within the inner surface, either of which serves to attach the lower body to the hair dryer outlet. The hair dryer attachment thus provides a simple means for using a hair dryer to dry and straighten one's hair.
Abstract:
There is provided a device for hair care having a housing with at least one aperture, one or more ion generators for selectively generating concentrations of ions having different combinations of intensity and polarity, and one or more ion emitters for selectively emitting concentrations of ions having different combinations of intensity and polarity. The device can be any device or combination of such devices, suitable for use with hair and for to optimize the known beneficial effects of ionization to hair of the user.
Abstract:
A hairdryer air intake is cleansed of dust particles with an electrostatic precipitator. The precipitator consists of a charging device (1) and a grounded filter media (2) that can be removed and cleaned. A warning lamp (13) indicates the need to clean the filter.

Abstract:
A hair roller made of extruded plastic and formed into a cylindrical, yet linear, shape is provided. The inside of the roller has an inner core having a low modules thermoplastic elastomer. The inner core is translucent and may be colored or contain a decorative glitter. The inner core has a soft, gel- like feel and a high heat content. Surrounding the inner core is an outside layer of clear plastic having a higher modules than that of the inner core. The outer layer provides a hard surface that is less likely to stick to and pull out the wearer's hair. A storage case for heating of the rollers is also provided.
Abstract:
There is provided a hair setting assembly having a split top lid for improving heat conservation. The assembly also has a tilt adjustable housing that holds a set of hair rollers and encloses an electrical means for heating the rollers.

Abstract:
A hair dryer for quiet operative use that efficiently dampens noise created when the fan impeller blades (36) cut through the air and that acoustically insulates a motor (28) to dampen vibrational noise generated thereby. The ha ir dryer has a housing with an air inlet (8) and an air outlet (10), a heater (26), an acoustically isolated motor (28), a fan (30) operatively connected to the motor, an inner sleeve (40) surrounding the fan and forming an air gap (42) between the housing and the inner sleeve, and an outer sleeve (52) surrounding at least a portion of the housing. In one embodiment, the inner annular sleeve has a plurality of guides (44) for directing airflow. In another embodiment, the fan has one or more hubs with a plurality of propell er blades that cooperate with the housing and/or the inner sleeve to convert blade tip vortices into useful airflow, as well as to provide a noise dampening effect. In still another embodiment, the fan is positioned part-in and part-out of the housing.
