    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous production process for γ-aminopropyl- trialkoxysilane. SOLUTION: (A) γ-Chloropropyltrialkoxysilane and ammonia are mixed at a desired ratio, (B) the mixture is heated up to the reaction temperature, (C) allowed to recycle in the pressurized reactor for the residence time for the complete reaction. At this time, the reaction mixture may be circulated through a plurality of temperature zones. Then, (D) the reaction mixture is cooled down, when necessary, an organic solvent (an extractant) is added, (E) the product is separated from the two-phase mixture and (F) the ammonia phase is returned to the reactor (C) or to (A).

    Abstract: Organopolysiloxanes are described with the same or different units of the formula: (O3/2Si-R1-SO3-)xMx+(1) in which R1 is alkyl, x is dependent on M and signifies a number from 1 to 4 and M represents hydrogen or a mono- to tetravalent metal ion and the valences of the oxygen atoms are saturated by silicon atoms of other groups of the formula (1), optionally by inserting cross-linking silicon, titanium or aluminum compounds and/or by di-, tri- and tetrasulfide units of the formula: (2) in which the substituents R1 have the same meaning as in (1) and can be the same or different, wherein the ratio of the sum of silicon atoms in (1) and (2) to the silicon, titanium and aluminum atoms of the cross-linking agent ranges from 1:0 to 1:10. Furthermore, the method of obtaining the organopolysiloxanes containing sulphonate groups and the use thereof as strongly acidic cation exchangers are described.

    Abstract: The invention relates to shaped organosiloxane polycondensates in the form of macroscopic spherical particles with a diameter of 0.01 to 2.5 mm, a specific surface area of 0.01 to 1000 m2/g , a specific pore volume of 0.01 to 5.0 ml/g and a bulk density of 50 to 1000 g/l, consisting of units of the formula X - R1 (I) and/or the formula R2 - Y - R3 (II) and the formula (see fig. I) or (see fig. II) as well as optionally in addition of units of the formula (see fig. III) or (see fig. IV) or (see fig. V) wherein R1 to R3 are identical or different and represent a group of the general formula (see fig. VI) R4being bonded directly to the X or Y group and representing a linear or branched, fully saturated or unsaturated alkylene group, a cycloalkylene group, a phenylene group or a unit of the general formula or and M corresponding to a Si, Ti or Zr atom.     Abstract: A continuous process for the production of gamma -aminopropyl- trialkoxysilane and mixtures of primary and secondary aminosilanes comprises: (a) mixing gamma -chloropropyl- trialkoxysilane with ammonia in a desired ratio of reactants; (b) heating the mixture to the reaction temperature; (c) allowing the reaction to proceed in a pressure reactor with a sufficient residence time for complete conversion, during which the reaction mixture may pass through several temperature zones; (d) subsequently cooling the reaction mixture and if necessary adding an organic solvent as extraction agent; (e) separating the product gamma -amino trialkoxysilane or mixtures of primary and secondary aminosilanes from the resulting two-phase mixture, optionally by extraction; and (f) recycling the ammoniacal phase to the reactor either at stage the mixing or reaction stage.
