Abstract: Un método para controlar un dispositivo de lente oftálmica programable que comprende una lente programable y un controlador de función óptica, teniendo la lente programable una función óptica y extendiéndose entre al menos uno ojo del usuario y la escena del mundo real cuando el dispositivo es utilizado por el usuario, y estando previsto el controlador de función óptica para controlar la función óptica de la lente programable, comprendiendo el método: - una operación de inicialización durante la cual la función óptica del dispositivo de lente programable es inicializada basándose en los datos del usuario que comprenden al menos una prescripción oftálmica del usuario y además datos morfológicos relativos a la morfología de la cabeza del usuario y/o datos de estrategia de visión relativos a la estrategia de visión del usuario y/o de la utilización de la lente y/o de las preferencias del usuario, - una operación de recepción de datos de función óptica cuyos datos de función óptica relativos a la función óptica de la lente programable son recibidos por el controlador de función óptica, - una operación de modificación de función óptica durante la cual la función óptica del dispositivo de lente programable electrónica es modificada por el controlador de función óptica basándose en los datos de función óptica.
