Solid phosphorous acid ester preparations having an improved stabilizing effect in polyolefin plastic materials, comprising from 20 to 97 weight % of a known, solid organic phosphorous acid ester stabilizer for a plastic material, and form 80 to 3 weight % of a wax selected from the group consisting of natural or partially synthetic ester waxes, amide waxes, esters of polyolefin wax oxidates and wax-like esters of long chain phosphorous acids.

[Also in Division C5] A lubricant for use in the compression moulding of metal powders comprises a mixture of: a an amide or diamide of an aliphatic carboxylic acid with 10 to 30 carbon atoms, and b an alcohol or diol with 6 to 32 carbon atoms or a polyglycol with a molecular weight from 500 to 50,000. The lubricant preferably contains 90-99À9 wt. per cent of component a and 10-0À1 wt. per cent of component b and forms 0À1 to 5 wt. per cent of the metal powder which is preferably iron. Component a of the mixture may be stearic acid amide, coconut oil fatty acid amide, palmitic acid amide, bis-stearoyl-ethylenediamine, bis-stearoyl-methylene-diamine or any amide produced from ammonia or an aliphatic diamine with up to 6 carbon atoms and the specified acids. Component b may be an aliphatic straight chain mono or dihydric alcohol with 6 to 32 carbon atoms, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, hexane-1,6-diol, octane-1,8-diol, an octadecane diol, a diol produced by reacting ethylene oxide with a bisphenol or the bisglycol monoether of p,p1-dihydroxy-diphenylisopropylidene.
