PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel processing system whose reliability is improved. SOLUTION: The parallel processing system is provided with some processing nodes (S1, S2 to Sn), each node is provided with message processing kernels (13, 23 to n3) and related process registers (14, 24 to n4), the process registers are capable of being loaded under control of an application (3) by a loading means (4), messages are exchanged and processed through a message interface (2) by nodes and a message processing process called according to contents of the related processing register by the related nodes is decided.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process message contents by responding to an important matter of an application program on a quotation side stored in a repository and sending a derived message to an application program on the quotation side. SOLUTION: A message broker 30 is provided between an application program 10 on an issue side and an application program 20 on a quotation side. The message broker 30 responds to selection of a message handler module 70 and checks if the module 70 already runs. When it runs, a repository for storing an important matter of the application program 20 on the quotation side is accessed and a derived message is sent to the application program 20 on the quotation side in response to the important matter of the application program 20 on the quotation side stored in the repository.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To judge whether earthquake data frame discrepancy is within an allowance range or not by selecting the width of an image as symmetry axis, dividing data around the symmetry axis, making the first and second data sets and comparing the data sets with a preset collating reference. CONSTITUTION: The results of earthquake testing groups are stored in an outside memory 210, prepared and modified to predict the image of earthquake data with specific symmetry around the axis. After they are modified, a device 200 is activated to read one frame of the earthquake data from a device 210 into an inside memory 220. An axis detector 240 accesses to the earthquake data and selects the axis as a symmetry axis. The maximum strength position is judged by a peak detecting technique. The earthquake data frame is sent to an edge detector 250 and a data point showing discontinuity in the data is identified, stored in an edge list and sent to a dividing means 260. The second edge list and the first edge list are collated by a collating device 160.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a message content in an issue/quotation message distribution service by correcting a content, which is received from an issue side application program(AP) by a broker, so as to be suited to the function of a quotation side signal and sending the derivative message to a quotation side application later. SOLUTION: The broker adapts so as to receive information on a function from a quotation side system and to store it. Besides, in response to the reception of a message from the issue side AP, the broker corrects the content of that message so as to suite it to the function of the quotation side signal and sends the derivative message including the corrected message content to a quotation side AP in the quotation side signal. For example, a message broker 30 is realized as a software component to be processed in cooperation with a message distribution software product 90 to be run on a computer system 100.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a user in selecting a GUI element by identifying the GUI element with which the user possibly interacts next, comparing one set of features previously defined concerning this GUI element and predicting which GUI element is to be the next element with which the user to interact. SOLUTION: An application 30 compares the coordinates of the input controller pointer of an input controller 70 with data 80 at the object position of the GUI element and determines the GUI element of an effective choice. A service component 20 predicts the GUI element with which the user interacts next and moves the pointer to the GUI position of that GUI element. Then, a stochastic value proportional to a value dividing weighting by the square of a measured distance value for each GUI element is generated but all the GUI elements over a maximum distance defined in advance are removed. The stochastic values of all the selectable GUI elements are mutually compared and the GUI element of the maximum value is identified as a predictive element with which the user interacts next.

Abstract:
A passive display module for use in a display system having a source of illumination and a projection lens includes a liquid filled cell having a transparent top and a wall surrounding a display electrode area. A side light guide, coextensive with the display area, forms or abuts one wall of the cell and directs light from the source onto the display area. The guide has a reflective upper inclined surface for reflecting light onto the display area and for preventing light from the source from escaping directly to the projection lens. A reflective coating is also provided on an outer face of the remaining portion of the cell wall which is inclined inwardly to return escaping light to the system.
