    Abstract: PURPOSE: To calculate an octane value from both of air-fuel ratio and amount of printer by calibrating a device in accordance with various data which is input by supplying a reference fuel, setting knock strength set point for amount of cylinder which is compensated by an octane value of the reference fuel, adjusting an air-fuel ratio in accordance with it, and adjusting an amount of printer in accordance with it by a fuel to be checked. CONSTITUTION: An operator inputs initialized data on a display 156 by using a function key 160, etc., to calibrate knock.strength by using a knock meter 152 and the display 156. Next, a mechanical digital counter of an engine is set to a value which is not compensated yet based on an instruction of the display 156 to compensate an amount of cylinder. Then, a knock strength set point is set by using the initialized data, and air-fuel ratio search is conducted until it reaches a peak knock strength to set a micro valve 58. It is exchanged with a sample to be checked, and the amount of cylinder is adjusted until knock strength set point is achieved while operating at peak air-fuel ratio to obtain an octane value from the position and the air-fuel ratio.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To judge whether earthquake data frame discrepancy is within an allowance range or not by selecting the width of an image as symmetry axis, dividing data around the symmetry axis, making the first and second data sets and comparing the data sets with a preset collating reference. CONSTITUTION: The results of earthquake testing groups are stored in an outside memory 210, prepared and modified to predict the image of earthquake data with specific symmetry around the axis. After they are modified, a device 200 is activated to read one frame of the earthquake data from a device 210 into an inside memory 220. An axis detector 240 accesses to the earthquake data and selects the axis as a symmetry axis. The maximum strength position is judged by a peak detecting technique. The earthquake data frame is sent to an edge detector 250 and a data point showing discontinuity in the data is identified, stored in an edge list and sent to a dividing means 260. The second edge list and the first edge list are collated by a collating device 160.

Thereafter, gas such as, for example, nitrogen is supplied from a pressurized gas source to a reservoir system and the probe 22 via a charging valve. When the gas flows in the sample 16 via the probe 22, the pressure of the gas is measured at a selected interval, the instantaneous pressureattenuation parameter are calculated based on the measurement of the pressure-time, and the transmittance of the sample 16 is decided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To measure the power and carrier wave phase of a radio signal received from an artificial satellite by combining signal simultaneously received from a plurality of artificial satellites into a composite signal. CONSTITUTION: To create the increasing calibration set of a spectrum, permeability shift, wavelength shift, absorbance baseline shift and the warp of the spectrum of absorbance baseline inclination are artificially introduced to the set of the infrared spectrum obtained regarding the representable sample of the material to be measured. The warp of the spectrum of the introduced one type is self-compensated by the correlation confirmed between the increased set of the spectrum and the directly measured physical characteristics of the sample. The correlation is applied to the infrared spectrum regarding the sample during consideration to confirm the physical characteristics of the sample. At the time of starting from the calibration set having small spectrum, to create the increased calibration set of the spectrum, it is suitable to duplicate the spectral many times. This method utilizes averaging technique.
