PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make one of a plurality of modems function when the plurality of modems are accepted by a notebook type computer. SOLUTION: When a computer device accepts a miniPCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) device 60 and a CDC(Communication Daughter Card) 70 which function as modems as extension devices, signals from an I/O bridge 21 are sent to both the miniPCI device 60 and CDC 70, but signals from the miniPCI device 60 are cut off by a bus switch 65 and only signals from the CDC 70 reach the I/O bridge 21, so that CDC 70 functions as a modem. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power controller capable of easily properly controlling supply of a plurality of voltages whose supply order is predetermined in a standard of each LSI used in an information processor such as a personal computer. SOLUTION: This electric power controller controlling a power unit supplying the plurality of voltages different from each other has: a state register part storing a state value corresponding to combination of the voltages supplied by the power unit among the plurality of voltages; a standard clock oscillation part oscillating a standard clock; a state value-changing combination circuit transiting the state value to a state value corresponding to the combination of the voltages of a change destination by sequentially changing the state value according to the standard clock in the predetermined order when acquiring a change direction for changing the combination of the voltages supplied by the power unit; and an output part making the power unit supply the combination of the voltages corresponding to the state value sequentially changed by the state value-changing combination circuit. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for appropriately controlling the running of a cooling fan according to generated heat amount, etc., of an electronic device comprising a heat-generating part. SOLUTION: In an optimum value table which describes relation among a fan controller 202 which outputs measurement data regarding the number of rotations of a cooling fan 201, an identifier provided at a heat-generating component such as a CPU card 10, and an optimum number of rotations of a fan, each table entry comprises an optimum value table where at least two optimum number of rotations corresponding to at least two threshold temperatures, a temperature measurement device 204 for measuring the temperature around a heat-generating part, the number of rotations deciding means for deciding the current optimum number of rotations according to the identifier and measured temperature of the heat-generating component, and a cooling system controller which corrects the on/off duty factor of a drive power source supplied to a fan, based on the difference between the optimum number of rotations and actual number of rotations of the fan obtained through the fan controller.
