SOLUTION: An input device 10 inputting the specification value specified by the operator comprises: an specification value change section 110 changing a first change amount in which the specification value is previously decided when receiving a specification value change instructions showing the change of the specification value by the user; and a change amount change section 130 changing the change amount by the specification value change section to a second change amount smaller than the first change amount when receiving instructions changing the specification value to a way different from the specification value change instructions within a previously provided change amount change period after receiving the specification value change instructions and leaving the change amount by the specification value change section as the first change amount when receiving the instructions changing the specification value to the way different from the specification value change instructions after elapsing the change amount change period.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a phenomenon which is not intended by a user in a method for switching plural key functions assigned to specific keys. SOLUTION: A key event detecting part 14 detects that a specific key has been depressed, and sets a register 18 which declares a request for the output of a make scan code originally assigned to the specific key to be outputted when the specific key is uniquely depressed. A key event analyzing part 15 and a code generating part 16 output a scan code for executing a prescribed key function by a key depressed afterwards. When the register 18 is set at the time of releasing the specific key, the make scan code originally assigned to the specific key to be outputted when the specific key is independently depressed is outputted.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method that monitors the output value level of electronic equipment which is represented by the output value level, etc., of audio sound. SOLUTION: An amplifier 4 integrates electric signals that are issued each time a function key of a key board 2 is pressed down, and the sound output of an audio speaker 5 is set by this integrated value. Meanwhile, the electric signals are also integrated in a microcontroller 1, and the number of indicator lamps 2-1 to 2-5 to be turned on is changed in accordance with this integrated value. Then, it is possible to visually monitor the set value of the sound output of the speaker 5 according to the number of indicator lamps that are turned on.

SOLUTION: This information processor 10 has a normal operation mode for executing consistency control for bringing contents of a cache memory of a processor into line with contents of a main memory, and a power-saving operation mode for reducing the power consumption as compared with the normal operation mode without executing the consistency control, and changes over the power-saving operation mode to the normal operation mode when an input/output device accesses the main memory in the power-saving operation mode. The information processor 10 has: an attribute setting part setting a device area that is an area accessed by the input/output device of the information processor, of the main memory, to a non-cacheble attribute wherein the consistency control is not executed even in the normal operation mode; and an operation mode setting part making the input/output device access the device area with the operation mode of the information processor kept in the power-saving operation mode when the input/output device requests the access to the device area in the power-saving operation mode. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a laser cover 13 whose freely separable part 17 has flexibility to turn a personal computer main body thickness part 11 and a digitizer thickness part 12 into a mutually overlapped state or a mutually opened state at the opposite side to a back middle part 15, and to accurately detect the overlapped state of the personal main body thickness part 11 and the digitizer thickness part 12 in spite of any deviation generated between the personal main body thickness part 11 and the digitizer thickness part 12 due to the arbitrary bending of the freely separable part 17. SOLUTION: A photosensor device 35 including an infrared radiator 40 and an infrared detector 41 is arranged at a personal computer main body thickness part 11. A flexible reflecting member 36 is attached to the prescribed face of a freely separable part 17 of a laser cover 13 so that a prescribed area is assured. When the personal computer main body thickness part 11 and the digitizer thickness part 12 are turned into an overlapped state, light radiated from the infrared radiator 40 is reflected on a flexible reflecting member 36, and falls on the infrared detector 41.

Then, the charge of the main battery is restarted, and at the point of time when the capacity of the main battery becomes 100%, the charge of the main battery is stopped, and then the charge of the second battery is restarted, and at the point of time when the capacity of the second battery becomes 100%, the charge of the second battery is stopped (steps 212-222).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for appropriately controlling the running of a cooling fan according to generated heat amount, etc., of an electronic device comprising a heat-generating part. SOLUTION: In an optimum value table which describes relation among a fan controller 202 which outputs measurement data regarding the number of rotations of a cooling fan 201, an identifier provided at a heat-generating component such as a CPU card 10, and an optimum number of rotations of a fan, each table entry comprises an optimum value table where at least two optimum number of rotations corresponding to at least two threshold temperatures, a temperature measurement device 204 for measuring the temperature around a heat-generating part, the number of rotations deciding means for deciding the current optimum number of rotations according to the identifier and measured temperature of the heat-generating component, and a cooling system controller which corrects the on/off duty factor of a drive power source supplied to a fan, based on the difference between the optimum number of rotations and actual number of rotations of the fan obtained through the fan controller.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information relevant to power consumption of a system component 123 on a display of a PC 100. SOLUTION: An intelligent battery pack 103 transmits information such as voltage and current relevant to the power consumption to a controller 115 through a line 125 when the PC 100 is driven by a battery 105. When power is supplied from the AC adaptor 101 to the component 123, a power source is once switched to the battery pack 103 for time to be required for measurement and the information is displayed by using measuring and communicating functions provided with the pack. Consequently, no special power detecting circuit is required for power supply system from the AC adaptor 101.
