Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the intensity of a user unit probe signal for improving the possibility of detection by a communication system unit on a method for improving the performance of a user accessing a communication system. SOLUTION: A method for controlling a probe signal that the user unit of a communication system transmits is constituted of a state receiving information from the system unit of a communication system and a stage controlling the probe signal based on reception information. The intensity of the probe signal is controlled based on information that the user unit receives from the system unit. Since the controlled probe signal is transmitted, possibility that the signal is detected by the system unit becomes high.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel estimator constituted of a plurality of different filters having the sets of different filter coefficients which are previously calculated. SOLUTION: In a method and a device for the channel estimator, a plurality of different filters which have the different coefficients and are selectively connected to the input and the output of the channel estimating unit are provided. The channel estimator is provided with a switching circuit which receives an error signal and performs a switching among a plurality of filters based on the value of the error signal with respect to an established threshold. The error signal is given from a decoder connected to a communication channel estimated by the device and the method.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting a protocol signal to be transmitted based on adjustment executed on the detected protocol signal. SOLUTION: A detected protocol signal transports adjustment information on the protocol signal so that the probability of the detection of the signal becomes high. The adjustment information is taken out from the detected protocol signal and at least one characteristic of the protocol signal to be transmitted is adjusted by using information. Thus, possibility that the protocol signal is detected is increased.
