Abstract: A vehicle door assembly comprises an inner door panel, an outer door panel and a mirror assembly. The outer panel is fixed to the inner door panel, the outer door panel having an mounting opening. The mirror assembly is supported to an outer perimeter of the mounting opening of the outer door panel. The mirror assembly has a base bracket and a dampener. The dampener is disposed between the base bracket and at least a portion of the outer perimeter mounting opening of the outer door panel such that the base bracket and the outer door panel are spaced with respect to each other by the dampener.

Abstract: A vehicle rear tail lamp structure includes a rear door and a rear lamp housing. The rear door has an upper outer panel portion and a lower outer panel portion, with a rear lamp recess defined between a lower edge of the upper outer panel portion and an upper edge of the lower outer panel portion. The rear lamp housing has a main body with an upper edge, a lower edge and at least one rearwardly projecting protrusion. The upper edge is located along the lower edge of the upper outer panel portion. The lower edge is located along the upper edge of the lower outer panel portion. The protrusion extends below the upper edge of the lower outer panel portion below the rear lamp recess overlaying a portion of the lower outer panel portion below the upper edge of the lower outer panel portion.

Abstract: A vehicle door assembly includes an inner door panel that defines a door cavity, a latch mechanism and a reinforcing bracket. The latch mechanism has a latch lever that moves when the latch mechanism is operated to release the vehicle door from a closed orientation. The reinforcing bracket has a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to a forward area of the inner door panel. The second end has an attachment portion, a lever capture portion and a tab portion. The attachment portion is attached to a rearward area of the inner door panel. The lever capture portion is outboard from the latch lever. The tab portion is adjacent to the lever capture portion. The reinforcing bracket is shaped and configured to deform in response to an impact event moving the lever capture portion inboard toward the latch lever interfering with movement thereof.
