Abstract: A method of, and system for applying frequency-domain equalization in a DS-CDMA system, either by augmenting the transmitted data block before it is scrambled by appending a prefix and a suffix known to or knowable by the receiver or by augmenting the transmitted data block after it is scrambled but prior to transmission so that it has a scrambled cyclic prefix. In the former case, the receiver synthesizes one of the prefix, the data block, or the suffix that would have been received if the augmented transmitted data block after scrambling had had a cyclic prefix.

Abstract: Se describen un metodo y un sistema para aplicar igualacion de dominio de frecuencia en un sistema DS-CDMA, ya sea aumentando el bloque de datos transmitidos antes de ser mezclados agregando un prefijo y un sufijo conocido para o que se puede conocer por el receptor o aumentando el bloque de datos transmitidos despues de que son mezclados, pero antes de la transmision, de manera que tiene un prefijo ciclico mezclado. En el primer caso, el receptor sintetiza uno del prefijo, el bloque de datos, o el sufijo que podrian haber sido recibidos si el bloque de datos transmitidos y aumentados, despues del mezclado, han tenido un prefijo ciclico.
