    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove static and dynamic DC voltage offsets in a direct- conversion receiver. SOLUTION: The direct-conversion receiver is provided with an analog stage for receiving an incident signal from a transmission channel, mixers and programmable-gain amplifiers. The receiver is further provided with at least one compensation module having an input terminal and an output terminal respectively connected between the output of the mixers and the input of the programmable-gain amplifiers for compensating for both a static DC voltage offset and a possible dynamic DC voltage offset of the analog stage.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the efficiency of transmission power without affecting the quality of a service by controlling the power of a remote terminal equipment or particularly a cellular mobile telephone. SOLUTION: The cellular mobile telephone comprises at least two power amplifiers each having a common operating region. If one of the amplifiers must be disconnected, the best time of switching is specified based on a predetermined transmission interrupting reference. The presently selected amplifier is used and its power regulation is continued until the switching time arrives. When the time arrives, the transmission is once interrupted, and then another amplifier is switched on.
