Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for obtaining network security threat information and mitigating threats to improve computing network operations. For example, methods may include receiving a message from a central instance; from outside of a private network, invoking a search of data associated with the private network, wherein the search is based on the message and the search is performed by an agent device within the private network; receiving a search result of the search from the agent device; transmitting the search result to the central instance, wherein the central instance is configured to generate network security threat information based in part on the search result and share the network security threat information with a plurality of customer instances that are associated with a group of customers; and receiving an alert message from the central instance, wherein the alert message includes information that identifies a network security threat.

Abstract: A database contains a corpus of incident reports, a machine learning (ML) model trained to calculate paragraph vectors of the incident reports, and a look-up set table that contains a list of paragraph vectors respectively associated with sets of the incident reports. A plurality of ML worker nodes each store the look-up set table and are configured to execute the ML model. An update thread is configured to: determine that the look-up set table has expired; update the look-up set table by: (i) adding a first set of incident reports received since a most recent update of the look-up set table, and (ii) removing a second set of incident reports containing timestamps that are no longer within a sliding time window; store, in the database, the look-up set table as updated; and transmit, to the ML worker nodes, respective indications that the look-up set table has been updated.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to an agent automation framework that is capable of extracting meaning from user utterances and suitably responding using a search-based natural language understanding (NLU) framework. The NLU framework includes a meaning extraction subsystem capable of detecting multiple alternative meaning representations for a given natural language utterance. Furthermore, the NLU framework includes a meaning search subsystem that enables elastic confidence thresholds (e.g., elastic beam-width meaning searches), forced diversity, and cognitive construction grammar (CCG)-based predictive scoring functions to provide an efficient and effective meaning search. As such, the disclosed meaning extraction subsystem and meaning search subsystem improve the performance, the domain specificity, the inference quality, and/or the efficiency of the NLU framework.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for indicating to a spectrum access system communication preferences of a base station and/or of a network operator. Different methods may be used to indicate the communication preferences, including a dedicated type parameter transmitted with spectrum allocation requests from the base station, a rule-based system where the spectrum access system accesses communication preferences of the base station and/or network operator through an identifier corresponding to a rule definition, or the like. The spectrum access system may assign a channel to the network operator based on its communication preferences, such as to determine a channel assignment to correspond to a channel aligned with a raster of communications to be used by the network operator. If the channel is not aligned, then the base station may shift a center frequency of the channel so that the channel aligns with the raster of communications.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a service application that supports a client device to access a platform via a client instance. The service application enables the user to perform an operation related to management of a virtual resource. In some embodiments, the service application invokes a chat interface to place the client device in communication with a virtual agent. Via the chat interface, the service application prompts the user to select a topic, an operation, and a virtual resource to indicate a desired operation to be performed. When the service application receives the selections made by the user via the chat interface, the service application, such as the virtual agent, may access the platform to perform the desired operation.

Abstract: A computational instance may includes a set of computing devices and a configuration management database (CMDB), wherein the CMDB contains a representation of a service deployed on a managed network, wherein the representation of the service includes metadata, service group membership, and an entry point, and wherein the computational instance is configured to: receive an instruction to export the representation of the service to a file; copy, to a metadata object in the file, the metadata; determine a hierarchical subset of the service groups that are related to the service; write, to one or more service group objects in the file, the hierarchical subset of the service groups; determine, from a list of entry points of the managed network, that the entry point is of the service; and write, to an entry point object in the file, the entry point.

Abstract: A computing system may include a database and server device(s) disposed within a remote network management platform. The database may contain (i) discovery information for installations of software applications on computing devices of a managed network, and (ii) software configurations for a subset of the software applications, the software configurations respectively indicating rights allocations and consumption for each of the subset of the software applications. The server device(s) may be configured to: determine that the software configurations do not support a particular software application, where the discovery information indicates that the particular software application is installed on computing device(s) of the managed network; and responsively, generate a particular software configuration for the particular software application, the particular software configuration indicating: (i) a rights allocation of zero rights, and (ii) a rights consumption according to the discovery information; and update the database to include the particular software configuration.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a discovery process that enables discovery of database management systems (DBMSs) hosted by at least one client device of a client network. The disclosed discovery process involves a discovery server disposed on the client network accessing the client device hosting the DBMS to collect configuration item (CI) data on the configuration and operation of management, extraction, and replication processes of the DBMS. More specifically, this discovery process involves the discovery server requesting and receiving certain CI data from the management process of the DBMS, requesting and receiving certain CI data from an operating system (OS) of the client devices, as well as parsing and retrieving certain CI data from configuration and report files of the DBMS. Additionally, the disclosed discovery process is designed to be performed without being granted special or additional privileges within the DBMS itself.
