    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently dredge surface sludge by a method wherein surface sludge on the water bottom is collected concentratedly and besides without being agitated in water. CONSTITUTION:Water (sea water and lake water) in a working area is injected as ballast in an unmanned submarine boat 3. When the submarine boat is advanced in a state to be landed on a water bottom 1 under specified gravity, sludge 2 on the surface is collected in a recessed part 4 formed in the bottom of the submarine boat and spread in an advancing direction and sucked in the boat with the aid of a pump. Dehydration is carried out by means of a centrifugal type dehydrating device in the boat to produce a sludge cake 42, which is fed forcedly to a floating body 45 on the water surface or to the ground through a hose 15 with the aid of a pump.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain fibrous calcium carbonate by pulverizing and classifying a shell, heat-treating the resultant powder in an alkaline solution, washing the heat-treated powder with water, then subjecting the washed powder to wet type physical peeling treatment, filtering the supernatant liquid and drying the filtrate. CONSTITUTION:A pulverized shell classified to a suitable fine particle diameter is completely dipped in an alkaline solution and heat-treated or allowed to stand at ordinary temperature for a long period. Washing of the resultant powder is repeated 4-5 times and wet type physical peeling treatment is subsequently carried out to filter the supernatant liquid. The obtained filtrate is then dried. A ball mill, mixer, etc., can be utilized as the physical peeling means. About 0.1-30wt.% is adopted as the concentration of the alkaline solution. Shells including oyster shells which have been wastes can be effectively utilized according to the above-mentioned method.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:In individual processes of ADZUKI bean jam making, the pressure in the cooker is adjusted to the prescribed values to prevent ADZUKI beans from scorching and bursting, thus giving sugar-containing ADZUKI bean jam with good luster and taste. CONSTITUTION:ADZUKI beans are charged in a cooker controllable in pressure and heated up to a set temperature ranging from 100-130 deg.C under stirring at a 3-20rpm. Right after this, a gas such as nitrogen or air is pressed into the cooker to raise the pressure by 0.1-0.25kg/cm and the beans are kneaded for a certain time. After completion of kneading process, a gas such as nitrogen or air is immediately pressed into the cooker to raise the pressure by 0.25-0.50kg/ cm and the cooker is cooled with cool water, as the cover is kept as it is, down to 70-90 deg.C to restore the pressure to the normal one. Then, the cover is taken off and pressurized air is directly blown to the bean jam to effect cooling and concentration.
