Abstract:
The invention concerns audio signal processing, comprising: a first processing (205) of an audio source signal, using at least a mathematical transform applied on first sequences of samples obtained by applying first segmentation windows (505, 506, 700, 701) on the audio source signal; and a second audio processing (206) applied on second sequences of samples obtained by applying second segmentation windows (507, 508) on the signal delivered by the fist step; the two successive first windows and/or the two successive second windows overlapping, the overlaps being such that the segmentations are synchronous.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a radiocommunications device capable of operating on at least two emission frequency bands and at least two reception frequency bands, comprising first means for carrying out communications according to a first predetermined standard. The invention is characterized in that it comprises second means for carrying out communications according to a second predetermined standard while using, at least in part, at least one of these frequency bands.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a radiocommunication equipment module (32), designed to be transferred onto a motherboard (31) comprising components mounted on a printed circuit and providing at least one of the following functions: RF processing, digital processing and analog processing. The invention is characterised in that the module comprises a set of conductive elements (35), distributed over said printed circuit lower surface, and arranged in such a manner that said set of conductive elements constitute simultaneously: electromagnetic shielding means for said printed circuit lower surface; electrical interconnecting means, enabling electric signals to pass through to and/or from said motherboard; and means for transferring said radiocommunication module onto said motherboard. Thus the radiocommunication module constitutes an electronic macro-component.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a radiocommunication module of the type that hosts and runs a main software program comprising applications that are used to manage the operating system (OS), radiocommunications (layer 3 GSM) and peripherals (HWL). According to the invention, each of said applications is associated with a set of level 1 run functions. Moreover, the inventive radiocommunication module hosts and runs at least one client software program comprising at least one client application which is associated with a set of level 1 source functions. The main software program and/or the client software program comprise(s) a level 1 interface application that can be used to interface the level 1 source functions, which are associated with the client application, with the level 1 run functions, which are associated with the operating system management application and with at least one of the applications used to manage radiocommunications and peripherals. In this way, access to at least some of the functionalities of the main software program is provided to at least one client application.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the management of communications in a communication network (100) comprising at least one transmitting device (101) and at least one terminal (102) which is adapted to receive data. The inventive management method comprises the following steps: establishment (304, 309, 312) of a communication between one of the terminals, called the destination terminal, and one of the transmitting devices, called the transmitting device, using a first communication mode which is based on a single-carrier modulation; and passing to a second communication mode (307, 310) using a multicarrier modulation (OFDM), with a communication channel that uses the multicarrier modulation being assigned to the communication between the transmitting device and the destination terminal. According to the invention, said first and second communication modes are carried out successively in an alternating manner. The invention also relates to the corresponding signal, transmitting device and destination terminal.

Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for extracting a sequence of pilot symbols enabling to estimate the transfer function of a transmission channel, at least a radiocommunication device communicating through said channel with a remote station, the latter regularly delivering to said radiocommunication device a reference pattern. The invention is characterised in that the structure of said reference pattern is variable, depending on at least one characteristic of said transmission channel.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a multicarrier signal consisting of a temporal succession of symbols formed by a set of data elements, each of said data elements modulating a carrier frequency of said signal, the data elements comprising reference elements called pilots (20) whereof the value in transmission is known to at least one receiver designed to receive said signal and informative data elements (21-28), whereof the value in transmission is not known a priori to the or said receiver(s), one of said carrier frequencies modulated, at a given time, by one of said data elements, being called carrier. The invention is characterised in that it at least one constraint is imposed on the value of at least one of said informative data elements, so as to reduce, in reception, at least one term of interference affecting at least one of said pilots.
