Abstract:
A method for fermenting a natural product in salt is provided to prevent the effective components included in the natural product from being deteriorated while restraining the decay and contamination of the product caused by Escherichia coli or anaerobic bacteria. A method for fermenting a natural product in salt comprises the following steps of: adding salt to medicinal herbs or grains and ripening and fermenting at the temperature of 4-40°C for 1 month ~ 1 year; and extracting the salted medicinal herbs or grains in water or organic solvent and obtaining a fermented extract. The medicinal herbs are selected from the group consisting of citrus junos, Astragali radix, Carthami flos, Angelicae gigantis radix, Zingiberis rhizoma crudus, Platicodi radix and Ponciri fructus. The grains are selected from the group consisting of soybean, rice, barley and wheat. The salt is selected among sodium chloride, bay salt, rock salt and bamboo salt. The amount of the salt used is 10-30wt% on a gross weight basis of the fermented extract. The organic solvent is selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol, glycerin, ethyl acetate, butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dichloromethane and hexane.

Abstract:
A cosmetic composition and a method of Citrus junos or Ponciri Fructus fermentation extract are provided to cause no skin irritation and to suppress melanogenesis of skin induced by UV or inflammation by comprising Citrus junos or Ponciri Fructus fermentation extract as active ingredient. A cosmetic composition comprises Citrus junos or Ponciri Fructus fermentation extract of 0.1~10 weight% as active ingredient based on total weight of the cosmetic composition. A method of Citrus junos or Ponciri Fructus fermentation extract comprises steps of: 1) adding salt in the Citrus junos or the Ponciri Fructus and fermenting it; 2) and extracting the fermented product using water or organic solvent. In the step 1), a used amount of the salt is 10~30 weight% based on total weight of the fermented product.
Abstract:
A cosmetic composition for reducing an edema is provided to reduce an edema using gourd extracts, gingko leaf extract, question plant extracts, extract of chlorella, citrus extracts and caffeine. A cosmetic composition for reducing an edema comprises one or more ingredients selected from a group consisting of a Lagenaria siceraria var. gourda extract and a Helichrysum Italicum extract as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition additionally contains one or more ingredients selected from a group consisting of gingko leaf extract, extract of chlorella, a citrus extract and caffeine. The coating method of the cosmetic composition for reducing the edema includes a step of compressuring skin using one of a roller, an acupressurer and a massage unit before coating the cosmetic composition. A skin-applicating apparatus contains the cosmetic composition and is one of the roller, the acupressurer and the massage unit.

Abstract:
A method for measuring the amount of human stratum corneum exfoliation is provided to digitize the stratum corneum exfoliation amount using an image analysis program by improving a conventional technique of evaluating the stratum corneum exfoliation amount visually through fluorescence staining, thereby verifying the stratum corneum amount objectively. A method for measuring the amount of human stratum corneum exfoliation comprises the steps of: (a) coating a fluorescent staining sample such as Dansyl chloride and dihydroxyacetone on a stratum corneum of skin surface for fluorescence-staining; (b) coating a sample for exfoliation such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, malic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, salicylic acid and papain enzyme on the fluorescent-stained stratum corneum for 4-14 days to perform exfoliation; (c) fluorescence-photographing the exfoliated stratum corneum to obtain a fluorescent image; and (d) setting up an analysis area of the fluorescent image and digitizing fluorescence strength of the analysis by using an image analysis program. Further, the step (a) of coating a fluorescent staining sample is performed for 6 hrs.
