본 발명은 두뇌 또는 인지 기능의 증진을 위한 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 (a) 실크 단백질의 분해에 의해 생성된 실크 펩타이드의 약제학적 유효량; 및 (b) 약제학적 담체를 포함하는 두뇌 또는 인지 기능의 증진을 위한 조성물에 관한 것이다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: Compositions for improving brain or cognitive function are provided, thereby effectively improving brain or cognitive function and preventing or treating brain neuronal diseases with less of side-effects. CONSTITUTION: The composition for improving brain or cognitive function comprises (a) a pharmaceutically effective amount of silk peptide produced by decomposition of silk protein; and (b) pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, wherein the silk protein is silk sericin or silk fibroin; the decomposition of silk protein is carried out by using calcium solution such as calcium chloride, acid hydrolysis, protein decomposing enzyme such as thermoase, flavourzyme, sumizyme, protamex and protin, and a combination thereof; the average molecular weight of the silk peptide is 200 to 100,000 dalton; and the brain or cognitive function is studying ability, memory ability or concentration ability.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for recovering sericin from the silk refined waste water is provided, therefore the sericin can be easily recovered by adding a high polymer coagulant. CONSTITUTION: The method for recovering sericin comprises the steps of: adjusting pH of the silk refined waste water to 5 to 7; regulating the temperature of the silk refined waste water to less than 40 deg. C; adding 0.5 to 5 ml/l of the high polymer coagulant into the silk refined waste water to coagulate and precipitate sericin; separating the precipitate sericin from the silk refined waste water; and optionally centrifuging the silk refined waste water at 3000 to 5000 rpm for 10 minutes or filtering the silk refined waste water with sieves after adding the high polymer coagulant, in which the high polymer coagulant is selected from the group consisting of polyaluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, ammonium aluminum sulfate and potassium aluminum sulfate.
