PURPOSE: A mixer and an RF receiver using the mixer are provided to embody an RF receiver excluding the use of external element. CONSTITUTION: A first harmonic removing unit(10) eliminates harmonic signal component from a first input signal. A second harmonic removing unit(20) eliminates the harmonic signal component from a second input signal. The first harmonic removing unit and the second harmonic removing unit are connected in parallel. The first harmonic removing unit and the second harmonic removing unit eliminate image signal component from the first input signal and the second input signal.

PURPOSE: A method and a device for generating neighbor base station list using virtual coordinate in a wireless communication system are provided to recognize neighboring base station by generating a 2D virtual coordinate of one-hop base stations, correcting the 2D virtual coordinate of two-hop base stations, generating the neighboring base station list. CONSTITUTION: A central BS(Base Station) measures a signal size of neighboring base stations(203). The base station exchanges the measured signal strength information with the neighboring base stations(209). By using the measured signal size, the base station searches neighboring base stations having signal size over the reference value(215). By using the exchanged signal strength information, the base stations generated virtual coordinate about the search neighboring base stations on a 2D plane(227).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for separating signals of different systems in a wireless communication system are provided to efficiently separate the signal of different kinds of systems by discriminating a transmission signal from a reception signal in each system and adjusting transmission and reception timing. CONSTITUTION: The reception signals of first and second systems are received through an antenna connected to a first terminal, and a circulator(202) outputs the transmission signals of the first and second systems, which are inputted to a third terminal, to the first terminal. A first reception filter(204-1) filters the signal outputted from a second terminal of the circulator to a reception band of the first system. A second reception filter(204-2) filters the signal outputted from the second terminal to the reception band of the second system.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating a neighbor list of an indoor base station in a wireless communication system are provided to generate a neighbor base station list of an indoor base station based on a detection result after detecting an uplink signal of a terminal which exists in service coverage. CONSTITUTION: An indoor base station detects a ranging code for all available uplink firm-bases(711). Based on the detected ranging code, the indoor base station detects an uplink firm-base used by a neighbor base station(713). The indoor base station transmits candidate neighbor base station list information including the detected uplink firm-base to a generation and management entity. The indoor base station receives from the management entity the neighbor base station list generated with the candidate neighboring base station list information(717).

PURPOSE: A method for selecting frequency allocation of a femto base station is provided to maximize system capacitance while minimizing the influence on an external base station. CONSTITUTION: A femto base station measures an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) for each FA(Frequency Assignment) by using a preamble received from a macro base station(301). The femto base station obtains the RSSI value of a base station at a maximum macro fro each FA(302), and compares the RSSI maximum value for each FA with a preset threshold(303). The femto base station includes the FA smaller than the threshold value to an available FA set(305).

A handover supporting apparatus of a broadband wireless communications system and a method thereof for supporting handover to a small-sized base station in a macro base station are provided to perform an internet service including broadband by using IEEE 802.21 MIH(Media Independent Handover) hand over technique. A user layer(300) transmits a message including serving macro base station identifier information. The MIH Get Information REQUEST message requesting the information of a small-sized base station through communication with an MIH server is transmitted to the MIH server(305). The MIH server searches one or more small-size base stations corresponding to the base identifier. An MIH_Get_Information RESPONSE message including the extracted information is transmitted to the MIH function(307).

A handover support apparatus of a broadband wireless communications system and a method thereof for determining a candidate small-sized base station are provided to support handover of a small-sized base station in a macro base station for preventing unnecessary overhead. A mobile terminal receives a service by transmitting and receiving traffic from a serving macro base station and a base station controller(301). An MIH(Media Independent Handover) function transmits the message received to a MIH server(305). An MIH server transmits the message to an LBS server(307). A message including serving macro base station identifier information is transmitted to a management server(309). A subscriber information managing server searches small-sized base station mapped to a serving macro base station identifier. A parameter rollback apparatus and a method thereof in a configurable broad band wireless communications system are provided to manage the operation parameter of a base station according to an environmental change which is unexpected and to manage the operation parameter of the base station according to the wireless environment change. An optimization part determines an optimum operation parameter of a base station. An evaluation part(208) generates the service level of the base station applying the operation parameter. A controller(202) requests the operation parameter roll back to the base station in case that or the service level is the same as or greater than the first threshold level.
Abstract:
A location setting device of a compact base station through user input in a broadband wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to obtain location information by using a GPS(Global Positioning System) signal and a user input address, thereby obtaining exact location information while the compact base station is easily configured and set. A GPS receiver(201) receives a GPS signal. A user input unit(203) inputs a home address from a user. A location information obtainer(205) compares strength of the received GPS signal with a threshold value, and if the strength is larger, the obtainer obtains self location information of a base station by using the GPS signal. If the strength is smaller, the obtainer obtains the self location information of the base station by using the inputted home address.
