    Abstract: A photographing apparatus for easily changing setting information and a method thereof are provided to check an image more quickly according to a changed setting value, thereby providing convenience to a user. A photographing unit(410) optically converts an optical signal incident through a lens into an electric signal, and processes the electric signal. A lens(411) images an optical image with regard to a photographing target on an optical surface of a CCD(Charge Coupled Device). A lens driving unit(418) drives the lens by a zoom motor to zoom-in/zoom-out, drives the lens by a focus motor to adjust a focus, and controls the amount of iris diaphragm opening/closing by driving an iris diaphragm motor. The CCD(413) is driven by a CCD driving unit(417), and is a kind of an image pickup device generating an electric signal corresponding to an optical image on an optical surface of the lens and outputting the electric signal. A DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(420) processes a video signal inputted from the photographing unit or a video input unit(435) and outputs the signal to a back end unit(450) and/or an LCD(430). A storage(425) stores program information and setting information necessary for controlling a system of a photographing unit, and includes an EEPROM(426), a flash memory(427) and an SDRAM(428).
