Abstract: PURPOSE: A reading execution method in an electronic device including a touch screen and a device thereof are provided to easily move a current page to a desired page by using a touch gesture. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen(110) generates a touch event in response to a touch gesture. A storage unit(140) includes a lookup table for determining whether the touch gesture is performed for turning a page. If the touch gesture is sensed while a first page of an e-book is being displayed, a control unit(170) refers to the lookup table to determine whether the touch gesture is performed for turning the page. If the touch gesture is performed for turning the page, the control unit determines a second page based on the touch gesture.
