비균등 16-심볼 신호성상을 이용한 변조기 및 변조 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 비균등 16-심볼 신호성상을 이용한 변조기는 부호율이 2/15인 LDPC 부호(LDPC code)에 상응하는 부호어(codeword)를 수신하는 메모리; 및 상기 부호어를 4비트 단위로 비균등 16-심볼 신호성상의 16개 심볼들에 맵핑하는 프로세서를 포함한다.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, the position of a base view moves from an arbitrary GOP starting position for the purpose of an effective coding structure in coding a multi-view video. A scheme of coding a multi-view video according to the related art uses a fixed base view, so that, when a correlation between the base view and the dependent view is low, the coding efficiency is deteriorated. In addition, when a view at which a producer would like to show a video in real time moves to another view, complexity of a bit-stream and a decoder is spent much more than that when a user decodes the base view. Thus, according to the present invention, a syntax element which may move the base view is designed to support an effective coding structure, so that the above problems may be solved.

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for encoding/decoding an image, which support a plurality of layers. The method of decoding an image includes the steps of: interpreting layer dependence on a current layer in a VPS(Video Parameter Set) extension; interpreting the layer dependence on the current slice in a slice by determining whether the layer dependence is not used for the current slice or a new layer dependence in a range of the interpreted layer dependence in the VPS extension is used; and constituting a reference picture list about the current layer based on at least one of the layer dependence interpreted in the VPS and the slice.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system for tracking an object in an image. A method for tracking an object in an image according to the present invention comprises the steps of dividing an inputted object image into N partial regions, generating an object model by using a patch histogram for defining a histogram for the divided partial image, estimating a probability value whether or not the inputted image is the object by using the generated object model and determining the position of object in the image by using the estimated probability value. According to the present invention, the separability from a background is improved relatively to the case of using a single histogram model, and thereby increasing the tracking performance and finding an exact object region relatively to the conventional mean-shift manner.
