CONSTITUTION: An anti-lock brake system is composed of a wheel speed sensor(50) detecting wheel speed of a vehicle; an electronic control unit(55) receiving a signal from the wheel speed sensor, and outputting a control signal; a brake booster(65) applying hydraulic pressure according to operation of a brake pedal(60); a wheel cylinder(70) generating braking force to wheels of the vehicle with hydraulic pressure pressurized by the brake booster, and releasing hydraulic pressure; a brake piston(80) expanded by hydraulic pressure from the wheel cylinder; and a brake lining(90) contacted to a brake drum(95) by expansion of the brake piston. The structure is simplified with adjusting the braking force automatically through the wheel cylinder. Noise and vibration are reduced, and reliability is improved.
