The present invention relates to a process for preparing a coated push -rod and/or pole housing made of a thermoplastic material or bulk moulding compound (BMC) for electrical contacts or connecting elements, to such a coated push-rod and/or pole housing and to the use of the process for preparing coated push -rods and/or pole housings. High mechanical and dimensional stability under outdoor conditions is provided. The process comprises steps of forming a sol from hydrolytic or non-hydrolytic sol/gel forming components, and applying the sol onto the surface of the push -rod or pole housing. The coating of the pole housing or push-rod is used for a UV protection layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing components and to components themselves according to the preamble of patent claims 1 and 6. In order to achieve simpler production of the partial surface treatment, which likewise exhibits optimal current carrying capacity, with minimum material use of noble metals, it is proposed that the components overall are first provided with an electrical/electrically insulating passivation layer or are coated chemically according to the sol-gel method or with a plastic coating, and that said passivation is then removed chemically or mechanically at the contact points, and the entire component is then put into an electrolytic bath, in which in this way the noble metal is deposited only on the parts of the component from which the passivation has been removed.

The invention relates to a pole part of a low- voltage, medium-voltage or high-voltage switching device having a vacuum interrupter chamber, which has been cast inco insulating material and has been provided with a fixed contact and a movable contact, the cast insulating casing being open at the bottom in the region of the movable contact or the drive rod driving said movable contact, in accordance with the preamble of patent claim 1. In order in the process to reduce the heating of pole parts so that a higher rated current carrying capacity is therefore produced, the invention proposes that, in the region of the movable contact or the articulation point of the drive rod (3), at least one ventilation opening (7) is applied which passes through the wall of the insulation (2), the boundary zone between the insulation and an electrical connection piece or through an electrical connection piece (4) of the movable contact.

The invention relates to a method for extinguishing an interference arc in a mid- and high-tension switchgear assembly, with which, according to the preamble of patent claims 1 and 3, at least one short circuit element is connected between the phases of a three-phase alternating current distributor. In order to extinguish the interference arc more reliably, the invention proposes that the interference is detected by sensors and that the short circuit switching element is fired by means of an explosive charge that impacts directly on the short circuit switching element on a conical contact structure complementary to the short circuit element connected to the three-phase power lines in such a way that, with the help of the complementary contours of the short circuit switching element and the three-phase power lines, self-locking persistence is achieved in the short circuit condition without having to apply a retaining force.

The invention relates to a vacuum interrupter chamber having an insulating ceramic wall, within which contact pieces which move in a vacuum are arranged and are surrounded by a screen between the contact piece and the interrupter chamber wall, according to the preamble of patent claim 1. In order in this case to improve on the one hand the erosion resistance of the screen and on the other hand the dielectric strength of the arrangement, the invention proposes that coatings composed of high-melting-point material or composed of refractory metals be fitted at least partially in the area of the screen (4, 7) or other components within the vacuum interrupter chamber (10).

The invention relates to a low-voltage, medium-voltage or high-voltage switchgear assembly equipped with a short-circuiting system as claimed in the preamble of patent claim 1. In order in this case to allow rapid switching with physically simple means, the invention proposes that the short-circuiting device is arranged in a vacuum interrupter chamber and the vacuum area in which the fixed contact piece is placed is subdivided via a membrane which is provided with a weak breaking line and which can be penetrated by the moving piston system to the contact piece during switching.

The method involves sealing a vacuum switching chamber close to a contact piece according to a chill casting manufacturing process, while a substance is melted in a crucible and is cast into a die (1). Bars (4) are attached in the die, where the die lies horizontally during casting under a vacuum atmosphere in a kiln and resulting composite material includes a material combination of copper and chromium. The die is separated and is opened for disconnecting the contact piece. An independent claim is also included for a contact piece for a vacuum switching chamber.
