    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suck an erythrocyte component, which is high-viscosity liquid, as quickly as possible when a plasma component and the erythrocyte component are dispensed, respectively, out of a blood sample, wherein the plasma component and the erythrocyte component are separated into the upper and lower parts by centrifugal separation. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle part 32 is constituted of a nozzle base and a disposable tip and conveyed up and down and right and left with an XYZ-robot 34. At first, the dispensation of the plasma component in a blood sample contained in a test tube 62 is performed with the nozzle part 32. Then, the inner wall of the disposable tip is coated with the plasma. Thereafter, the dispensation of the erythrocyte component is performed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely detect a short sample even if the sample in a tube is very slightly short by periodically sampling and integrating the pressure in an air hose. CONSTITUTION:The time after the start of suction and before the suction port of a nozzle tip 14 parts from a liquid is shortened and the area enclosed by a dotted line indicating the atm. pressure and a solid line of a pressure change graph decreases to the area smaller than the area at the time of normal suction, when the volume of the liquid sample filled in the specimen tube 16 is short. The pressure in the air hose 12 decreases by as much as the pressure receives the effect of a suction pump 10 but the rate thereof is extremely small, when the sample does not exist at all in the tube 16, i.e. during air suction. The deficiency of the sample in the specimen tube 16 is, therefore, detected and decided extremely exactly by calculating such area value and comparing the same with a prescribed value.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To speedily detect a clog by providing an air hose, a nozzle chip, and a sample tube and monitoring the pressure in the air hose. CONSTITUTION:While the liquid sample in the sample tube 16 is sucked and sampled, negative pressure is produced in the air hose 12 and drops gradually with time. Then when the intake of the nozzle chip 14 is closed owing to th suction of a solid body in the sample, the internal pressure in the air hose 12 does not returns to the atmospheric pressure and a sudden drop in the internal pressure occurs on the blocking occurrence. For the purpose, the internal pressure level of the air hose 12 which varies with suction time is sampled at a specific period while the liquid sample in the tubed 16 is sampled to detect the blocking state of the intake of the chip 14 speedily. Then the sucking operation is stopped at the same time the liquid sample which is sucked is discharged slightly immediately to separate a sucked material from the intake of the chip 14, thereby obtaining only the desired pure liquid sample.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in an automatic dispensing device that the device is stopped and its throughput is lowered when a leak is detected in its piping system. SOLUTION: After a liquid sample is sucked in and at the time a nozzle end gets away from a liquid surface, additional sucking motion is performed when an internal pressure in the piping system is P 1 . By giving a surplus negative pressure (-ΔP), the internal pressure is made to be P 2 . Thereafter, the internal pressure P is monitored by means of a pressure sensor until discharging operation starts. A liquid leak detection part finds a differential pressure ΔP' between the internal pressure P and the internal pressure P 2 after the surplus negative pressure is given thereto and the differential pressure ΔP' is compared with a reference value A. When the differential pressure ΔP' reaches the reference value A, it is judged that there is a fear of liquid leak and a surplus negative pressure giving motion is performed again and this device continues its operation.     SOLUTION: A barcode 16 is provided at a flat section 18 that is provided at a bottom section 14 of a tube 12. Since the barcode 16 is provided on the bottom section 14, the state of a specimen in the tube 12 can be observed. The barcode 16 is a matrix two-dimensional barcode. Therefore, even if the space in the bottom section 14 is small, the identification information of the tube 12 can be displayed. Additionally, an overhang section 20 that is extended to the lower portion of the tube 12 is provided around a flat section 18. The overhang section 20 plays a role of preventing damage of the barcode 16 due to the direct contact with the placement surface when the tube 12 is to be placed while being erected.

When the first recovery reading is not succeeded, a second recovery reading is executed, the same label is read out using another label reader 14.
