Specific cpds. (I) include (I; R' = Et, R2 = Me, R3 = H, R4 = Et, R5 = OEt, X=S). In an example, this is prepd. in 74% yield by stirring 16.2 pts. wt. ammonium O,O-diethyldithiophosphate 7 hrs. at 70 degrees with 12.2 pts. wt. ethyl 1-chloroethyl carbonate in 100 pts. vol. acetonitrile. (I) have strong insecticidal, acaricidal and nematocidal activity against plant, hygiene and stored-products pests, and have good activity against both biting and sucking insects and mites.
