Abstract: PURPOSE:To adhieve the optical recording property, reading property and shelf life stability, by providing the colored electrolytic polymerized film coming in contact with a nonconductive substrate layer and the light transmitting sur face layer coming in contact with the polimerized film. CONSTITUTION:A copnductive base A and a counter electrode 2 are respectively connected to the anode 4 and cathode 5 of a d.c. power source 3, dipped in an electrolyte 6 and current is applied thereto within a fixed range of voltage for a fixed time. Thereby, a polymer 7 is uniformly deposited on the anode, base A according to the used quantity of monomer. The polymer 7 together with the base A is washed, dried, transferred by adhesion onto a support layer 1 or a surface layer 12 and an optical recording medium 8 is obtained. When a recording light 9 is irradiated as information is onto the medium 8, the optical recording layer, polymer on the support layer 1 discolors or changes in quality only in the exposed part 10. Therefore, when a faint light is irradiated on the recording surface, the recorded information can be accurately read by the absorp tion and reflection of light.

The film, at least one kind of the dopants of which are dedoped into a ferroelectric liquid crystal by impression of an electric field or defusing, at least one kind of the dopants of which are not dedoped into the ferroelectric liquid crystal, is more preferable. Namely, the hysteresis which is of problem in the case of execution of gradation driving is removed by using the conductive high-molecular oriented films doped with two kinds of the different dopants for the ferroelectric liquid crystal element.

CONSTITUTION:An electrochemical element is equipped with a first electrode 1, a high molecular electrolytic layer 3 composed of crosslinked high molecular material and liquid and arranged very close to the electrode 11, and a second electrode 2, wherein a gap between the high molecular electrolytic layer 3 and the second electrode 2 is filled with liquid medium 4, and electrochemically active ion species contained in the medium 4 and high molecular ions included in the high molecular electrolytic layer 3 are the same in polarity. By this setup, an electrochemical element which is high in response speed and low in internal resistance, functions as a rectifier in low voltage and small current can be obtained, wherein gas is hardly generated from an electrode.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance acoustic transmission efficiency by continuously changing the acoustic impedance of the acoustic coupler consisting of a hydrogel from the acoustic impedance of a 1st medium to the acoustic impedance of a 2nd medium. CONSTITUTION:The medium 1 is an object having the relatively high acoustic impedance; for example, metallic electrode, etc., and the medium 2 is an object having the relatively low acoustic impedance; for example, liquid or human body, etc. The acoustic impedance Zc of the acoustic coupler 3 changes from Z1 to Z2 along the direction of the medium 2 from the medium 1 in such a case. The hydrogel consisting of a crosslinked molecular and water is used as the gel of this structure. The gel shrinks by generating a phase on according to the concn. of a salt and temp. and continuously changes the acoustic impedance in the gel. The water, etc., are expelled from the inside of the gel to the outside of the gel at this time. The high-polymer concn. and high-polymer density in the gel are thereby increased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the temp. sensor having an excellent response speed, sensitivity, reversibiltiy, workability, and durability by adopting a gel as a reception section which is reversibly changed in acoustic characteristics according to temp. CONSTITUTION:The sensor formed by using the gel consists of, for example, a measur ing container 1, a measuring soln. 2, a transmitter/receiver 3 of ultrasonic waves, a wave front 4 of ultrasonic waves and the gel at the time of swelling. The soln. 2 passes around the gel at the temp. below the phase transfer point of the gel. The ultrasonic wave transmitter/receiver is integrated with the transmitter and the receiver and is used in switching at every provided period in many times. The central frequency thereof is specified to 1kHz to 100MHz. The acoustic impedance Z2 in the state of Fig. (a) is nearly the same as the acoustic impedance of the measuring soln. on the outside of the gel and the reflectivity is nearly zero. The acoustic impedance Z2 has the larger difference of the same impedance Z1 of the measuring liquid as the gel causes the phase transfer from Fig. (b) to Fig. (d) and, therefore, the reflectivity increases. The difference in the reflectivity is measured by the ultrasonic wave transmitter/receiver, by which the gel is detected if the measuring soln. is at a certain temp. or above.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve a pH control without varying a composition, volume and the like of a liquid, by feeding current between electrodes mainly composed of a high polymer to change pH of the liquid. CONSTITUTION:A first high polymer electrode 2 mainly composed of a high polymer wherein aromatic primary amine is polymerized in oxidation and a second high polymer electrode 3 mainly composed of a high polymer wherein pyrrole or a mono-substitution product or a di-substitution product is polymerized in oxidation, a pH electrode 5 and a comparison electrode 6 are used as immersed in a pH control liquid 1. Any of the electrodes, especially, the first polymer electrode 2 or second polymer electrode 3 can be used concurrently as container 4 holding the liquid 1. In a controller 7 of an electrolytic cell thus arranged, current flowing between the first and second high polymer electrodes 2 and 3 is controlled according to a signal indicating pH of the liquid 1 obtained from the comparison electrode 6 and the pH electrode 5 and a signal indicating a pH value as set target to turn a pH value of the liquid 1 to a desired value.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a hologram having excellent transparency and durability by adopting a photosetting adhesive agent for an adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:The adhesive agent is the photosensitive adhesive agent. The deterioration in properties of the hologram by the adhesive agent is prevented by sticking a transparent protective body onto the surface of a hologram film by the specific adhesive agent, by which the hologram having the excellent transparency and durability is economically obtd. The photosetting adhesive agents of an acrylate type, epoxy type, urethane type, etc., are known as the photosetting adhesive agent to be used. The photosetting adhesive agent has the characteristic that the setting is completed within a few seconds at the longest and usually within several tens seconds by the irradiation of UV - visible light. The need for presuming a pot life is eliminated and, therefore, the workability is extremely good.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent uneven coating by a coating solution from occurring by a method where the coating solution is sucked up through a suction port provided in a holding base to mount a coated material thereon. CONSTITUTION:A spinner head is provided with a fixing member composed of a region 4 loading a coated material 1 on the central part thereof and a press down member 6 pressing down sucked-up members 5 and the coated material 1 upon a holding base 11 around the region 4. Thus, the coated material 1 is not directly vacuum-sucked up by the suction into a suction port 3 but suction-fixed to the specified region 4 being pressed down thereon through the intermediary of the sucked up members 5 which are directly sucked up into the suction port. Through these procedures, the vacuum suction port 3 is not located on the part immediately below the coated material 1 to be fixed to the sucked up members 5 so that the coated material 1, even if it is made of metal or plastic sheet with flexibility, may be prevented from being unevenly coated due to the deflection of the coated material 1.

The hologram which is free from the unequal diffraction efficiency and coloration and has excellent transparency is thereby obtd.
