Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a quaternary ammonium salt, a polymer containing cyclic cationic groups and a specific noionic water-soluble high polymer, and having improved touch and stability without stickiness. Abstract: PURPOSE:A composition that is composed of a hydrolyzate of keratin, an alkali salt of an oxidative decomposition product or an alkali salt of a thiol derivative of a reductive decomposition product and further a cationic polymer, thus giving wet feeling to washed hair. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition comprises (A) a derivative of decomposed product of keratin and/or (B) a cationic polymer. Since the composition contains component A that has high adsorbability to hair, the moisture retention of the hair is increased by its synergism with other polar groups to finish hair with good humidity and give good conditioning effect without heavy feeling. The component A is, e.g., hydrolyzate to keratin, an alkali salt of oxidative decomposition product or an alkali salt of thiol derivative of reductive decomposition product. The component B is, e.g., a polymer of diallyl quaternary ammonium salt.
