Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat transfer performance remarkably by a method wherein the heat exchanger is composed of a multitude of plate fins arranged in parallel with a given interval, and a multitude of heat transfer tubes, fitted vertically to the plate fins, while the plate fins around said heat transfer tubes are provided with circular protuberances on both surfaces thereof. CONSTITUTION:The heat exchanger is composed of a multitude of plate fins 101 arranged in parallel with a given interval, and a multitude of heat transfer tubes 102 fitted vertically to the plate fins, while the plate fins 101 are provided with circular protuberances 104, 105 on the upper and lower surfaces of the plate fin 101 concentrically to the heat transfer tube 102. As a result, dead water area is reduced, heat transfer is promoted due to horse-shoe type eddy current, the pressure loss of air stream is reduced, and the heat transfer performance of the heat exchanger may be improved remarkably.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize the heat exchange capacity regardless of the speed of air flow by a structure wherein sets of heat transfer pipes, one set of which consists of a plurality of heat transfer pipes, are juxtaposed in the direction of air flow to one another and a plurality of small holes are bored at the folded ends of corrugated fins arranged between said juxtaposed sets in order to easily fall droplets condensed on the fins so as to prevent air passages from being contracted by the droplets. CONSTITUTION:Corrugated fins 5 are attached to copper heat transfer pipes 4 under the state that folded ends 7 and 7' contact with the pipes 4. A large number of small holes 6 are bored at the folded ends 7 and 7'. The air flow runs in the direction of the arrow 8 among the fins 5 so as to face to the end surface of the aluminum corrugated fins 5, resulting in transmitting the heat of the air flow through the fins 5 to the copper pipes 4 in order to exchange heat between the air and the refrigerant flowing within the copper pipes 4. Consequently, the condensate collected to the lower folded ends 7 can be easily fallen to the lower part of a heat exchanger, resulting in enabling to suppress the increase of air resistance due to the stagnation of the condensate. Accordingly, the heat exchanger can stably display its capacity at all times. In addition, the scattering of the condensate to the exterior of the heat exchanger is made difficult, resulting in making the maintenance of external appliances easier.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase average heat transfer coefficient of fins, and at the same time decrease shape resistance of heat transfer pipes, by a method wherein dead water areas are decreased after the heat transfer pipes at the fin having raised- slotted type slits. CONSTITUTION:Heat transmitted from a heat transfer pipe is transmitted to the air flowing from the direction of an arrow mark. The air flowing from the arrow mark direction develops boundary layers from the front edge of a fin 7, but boundary layers are divided by raised-slotted part 8, and the thickness of boundary layers are decreased. Meanwhile, air flow can not advance straight, because rear cut parts 9 are positioned circularly around the heat transfer pipe 6, and it turns to the part behind of the heat transfer pipe 6 and decrease dead water areas. The height of the raised-slotted part are composed so as to be changed according to the distance between each of a rear cut part, and, furthermore, because the shape of the raised-slotted part has different shape according to the air flow direction, there is few chance that the raised-slotted part at the rear is buried in the wake by the raised-slotted part at the windward side.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a carbonic acid gas-adsorbing effect from deteriorating with time after manufacturing a carbonic acid gas adsorbent by a method wherein an organic coat layer containing many hydrophilic groups in the inside of the coat layer, and many lipophilic groups outside the coat layer is formed on a surface of a power composed of an hydroxide of alkali metals hydroxide. SOLUTION: This carbonic acid gas adsorbent 1 used for improving a heat insulating property by decreasing a heat conductivity of a foam heat insulating material to be used for a refrigerator or the like, is formed by providing an organic coat layer 5 containing many hydrophilic groups 3 in the inside of a coat layer, and many lipophilic groups 4 in the outside of the coat layer to an alkali metals hydroxide 2. The alkali metals hydroxide 2 adsorbs and removes carbonic acid gas by reacting with the carbonic acid gas in the atmosphere, and a sodium hydroxide is mentioned therefor. When the organic coat layer 5 is applied thus, a water content in the atmosphere is restrained from penetrating into the inside of the coat by an effect of the lipophilic group 4, elution of alkali metals hydroxide or the like can be reduced, and the lowering of the effect as the carbonic acid gas adsorbent 1 can be prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat insulating properties of a foamed heat-insulating material used for a refrigerator, etc., by incorporating a carbon dioxide gas adsorbent into a rigid polyurethane foam during its foaming to thereby cause the adsorbent to adsorb and eliminate carbon dioxide gas contained in the foam. SOLUTION: This carbon dioxide gas adsorbent is prepd. by mixing a powder of an alkali or alkaline earth metal hydroxide 1 with an inorg. or metal hydrate 2 pref. having a heat of hydration of 20kcal/mol or higher, granulating the resultant mixture, and surface-treating the resultant granules with an org. resin 3, etc. The adsorbent adsorbs and eliminates carbon dioxide gas contained in a rigid polyurethane foam after produced without adsorbing water contained in urethane foam materials before foaming.

CONSTITUTION: Powder of an alkali metal hydroxide or an alkaline earth metal hydroxide is mixed with a water carrying water-absorbing substance and the resultant mixture is granulated and surface-treated with an org. coating agent, etc., to obtain the objective gaseous CO2 adsorbent. This adsorbent does not adsorb water in urethane stock and can adsorb and remove only gaseous CO2 in foam after foaming.
