    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may allocate resources for communication with a user equipment (UE). The resources may include one or more subframes, and each subframe may include one or more shortened transmission time intervals (sTTIs). Each sTTI may be assigned a transmission direction according to a time division duplex (TDD) pattern. Based on traffic needs and/or interference from other UEs and/or base stations, the base station may determine to modify the TDD pattern used for communication. Accordingly, a base station may transmit an indicator in a control message or control region of a TTI or sTTI, to indicate to users that a transmission direction of an sTTI in the TDD pattern is being changed. Subsequently, a user may communicate with the base station according to the reconfigured TDD pattern.

    Abstract: A UE may determine a number of resources granted for uplink or downlink communication in a processing window. The resources may include uplink resources or downlink resources and the processing windows may include a predetermined number of subframes. For uplink (UL) transmissions, this may include determining a number of transport block bits, resource blocks, or other resources scheduled in one or more first UL channel grants for a first UL channel, and determining a number of such resources scheduled in a second UL grant for a second UL channel. For downlink (DL) transmissions, the determining may include determining a number of resources received on a first DL channel in each subframe of a set of subframes, and determining a number of resources received on a second DL channel. The determined number of UL or DL resources may be compared to a corresponding threshold which his based on the UE capabilities and processed in accordance a result of the comparison. These and additional aspects are described herein.

A base station may configure uplink resources within a slot to enable a user equipment (UE) to transmit an acknowledgment (ACK) feedback message for multiple downlink semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations. For example, the base station may transmit an additional configuration to the UE that indicates uplink resources that the UE can use to transmit acknowledgment feedbacks for multiple downlink messages received according to the SPS configurations, where the UE determines which uplink resource to use based on a number of acknowledgment information bits to be transmitted for the acknowledgment feedback message. For example, if the number of acknowledgment information bits is below a threshold value, the UE may use a first uplink resource configured by the base station. Alternatively, if the number of acknowledgment information bits is above the threshold value, the UE may use a second uplink resource.

The described techniques relate to handling the collision between multiple overlapping channels (e.g., two or more channels of the same priority). A user equipment (UE) may use easily detectable transmission parameters to infer difficult-to- detect parameters for communications with a base station. In some cases, the UE may be configured with a reference set of transmission parameters, receive one or more transmission parameters that are different relative to the reference set of transmission parameters, and then determine to use the different transmission parameters for the communications. Additionally or alternatively, the multiple sets of transmission parameters may be specified for a certain uplink message (e.g., random access channel messages), where the UE selects the transmission parameter set based on one or more characteristics of the uplink message.
