    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for use of SS transmitted using a UE-specific configuration of time-frequency resources. A BS may assign at least one UE-specific configuration, wherein the UE-specific configuration comprises an allocation of resources for a UE-specific SS for mobility management purposes. The BS may communicate with the UE based, at least in part, on the UE-specific configuration. A UE may correspondingly receive the UE-specific configuration and communicate with a BS based, at least in part, on the configuration.

    Abstract: A solution to enable synchronization and establishing links among the APs using available RATs with minimum modifications is provided. In one aspect, an apparatus may determine a first set of resources to be used for establishing network access for a set of UEs. A resource schedule of the apparatus may include the first set of resources and the second set of resources. In another aspect, an apparatus may be a first base station. The first base station may receive a set of reports from a set of base stations. The first base station may determine a resource schedule for a second base station within the set of base stations based on the set of reports. The first base station may transmit the resource schedule to the second base station.

    Abstract: A UE may receive a directional synchronization subframe from a base station and transmit a scheduling request to the base station during a time period based on the directional synchronization subframe. The scheduling request may enable a base station to grant the UE resources to send a buffer status report (BSR). The time period may be associated with a random access channel (RACH) time period. The UE may also transmit a scheduling request within a frequency region of the RACH time period. The scheduling request may be transmitted based on a received indication of a set of subcarrier, a cyclic shift, or a sequence index. In some examples, the resources used by the UE to send the BSR may include physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) or physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources.

    Abstract: A structure where there are self-contained subframes/slots with smaller TTIs within the subframes/slots is provided to address the issues in MMW scheduling. The apparatus may receive uplink information from the at least one UE using at least one uplink region within the subframe/slot. The apparatus may receive downlink information from a base station using at least one downlink TTI within a subframe/slot. The subframe/slot may include a plurality of downlink TTIs and at least one uplink region. The apparatus may transmit uplink information to the base station using the at least one uplink region within the subframe/slot.

    Abstract: Uplink transmission power levels may be adjusted in response to changes in a directional beam used for wireless communications.     Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. In one method, a user equipment (UE) receives a timing synchronization signal (TSS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), with the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within a broadcast channel transmission time interval (BCH TTI); determines the timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and demodulates the PBCH based at least in part on the TSS. In another method, a base station allocates resources for a TSS and a PBCH within a BCH TTI; determines the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and transmits, on the resources allocated for the TSS and the PBCH, the TSS and the PBCH, with the TSS transmitted as a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for the PBCH on at least one port used to transmit the TSS and the PBCH.
