Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for adjusting transmission power in wireless networks are provided. One aspect of the disclosure provides a method of wireless communication over a wireless communication medium. The method includes determining a level of interference for a data transmission from a transmitting device to an intended receiving device. The method further includes setting a transmission power level for transmitting a message based on the interference level, the message comprising one of a request-to-send (RTS) packet and a clear-to-send (CTS) packet. The method further includes transmitting the message at the set transmission power level.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for channel state information feedback are provided. In one aspect, a request to two or more stations is transmitted for the two or more stations to transmit channel state information in response to the request. The channel state information is received from each of the two or more stations.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for multiple user uplink. One aspect of the disclosure provides a method for wireless communication. The method comprises receiving a first wireless message from an access point indicating an uplink transmission opportunity and a target transmission duration for each of a plurality of user terminals including a first user terminal. The method also comprises changing a planned transmission duration of a second wireless message from the first user terminal to fit the target transmission duration. The method also comprises transmitting the second wireless message from the first user terminal over the target transmission duration.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication is provided. The method includes transmitting a first message to at least two stations. The first message indicates a second message to be transmitted to at least two stations after the first message. The method further includes transmitting the second message to the at least two stations. The method further includes receiving a plurality of uplink data from the at least two stations in response to the second message.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication is provided. The method includes transmitting a quality of service (QoS) message to a device. The QoS message includes a request for a transmission opportunity for sending uplink data to the device. The QoS message includes at least one of a sequence control field or a QoS control field. The method further includes receiving a clear to transmit (CTX) message in response to the QoS message. The method further includes transmitting data to the device in response to the CTX message.
Abstract:
Methods, access point and wireless devices for wireless communication are provided. In an embodiment, a method of determining a set of communication parameters (namely modulation and coding scheme MCS) for a wireless communication includes transmitting, at an access point, one or more frames (e.g. beacon, broadcast probe respons) to wireless devices each including a transmission power indication; estimating at a wirless device a link quality based on the transmission power indication and transmitting a probe request using a first set of communication parameters to the access point; receiving, at the access point, said probe request and transmitting, at the access point, a probe response using a second set of communication parameters, the second set of communication parameters being a function (e.g. a direct mapping) of the first set of communication parameters.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication are provided. In an embodiment, a method of determining communication parameters for wireless communication includes receiving, at an access point, a probe request comprising a transmission power indication. The method further includes determining a received transmission power. The method further includes estimating a path-loss based on the transmission power indication and received transmission power. The method further includes transmitting a first probe response using a first set of communication parameters defining a first rate. The method further includes transmitting a second probe response using a second set of communication parameters defining a second rate when the access point does not receive an acknowledgement to the first probe response within a timeout period, the second rate being lower than the first rate.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for communicating in a wireless network are provided. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication is provided. The method includes inserting a plurality of scrambler seeds into a data unit comprising a plurality of data portions, each scrambler seed associated with a respective data portion of the plurality of data portions. The method includes scrambling each data portion at least in part based on the associated scrambler seed. The method includes transmitting the data unit. The data portions may comprise code words or at least one media access control protocol data unit. The scrambler seed may be inserted in reserved bits of the delimiter field. The scrambler seed may be inserted in a delimiter signature field of the delimiter field.
Abstract:
One aspect disclosed is a method in a wireless communications system including a first primary channel having a first frequency spectrum bandwidth and a second primary channel having a second frequency spectrum bandwidth, wherein the second frequency spectrum bandwidth includes the first frequency spectrum bandwidth. The method includes performing a first and a second back-off procedure at least partially in parallel, the first back-off procedure based on whether the first primary channel is idle, and the second back-off procedure based on whether the second primary channel is idle, and transmitting a wireless message based on whether the first or the second back-off procedure completes first.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for transmitting data are described herein. In some aspects, a method comprises generating a first message. The first message may comprise an allocation of a first station to a first frequency channel and a second station to a second frequency channel. The method further comprises transmitting the first message over the first frequency channel and the second frequency channel. The method further comprises transmitting, after transmission of the first message, a second message to the first station using the first frequency channel. The method further comprises transmitting, after transmission of the first message, a third message to the second station using the second frequency channel.
